How man at managers have thrived under SISU

Blasting through the Premier League clubs they are all an average of a 100 plus games, many of the successful clubs over 200. Except Crystal Palce who are around 90. Coventry is 78....as an average that is a lot lower. Knee jerk doesn't work.

That is an important question, what indeed is the aim? To most I think it would be a sustainable successful team. Why do people think the necessity for promotion this year will achieve that? The building of a successful club needs good foundations. Society seems to be losing that concept...

    Mowbray and the Acadamy

Jimmy Holmes came back to Coventry and served with the local police. Lots of other players have settled locally. Mickey Gynn and Dean Emmerson, not through our youth scheme but picked up early in their careers. I believe Dave Bennett and Brian Borrows still live locally. But the right...

    Mowbray and the Acadamy

I believe the club will only move forward with continuity of the management and coaching staff. Development of players at the club Retention of a nucleus of players Good sourcing of potential from outside the club A good youth development scheme. A philosophy of positive attacking football...

    Michael Mifsud

Misfud was let down by his awareness of the players around him, a head down sort of player. But he did produce some memorable moments and some key goals which saved him from the terrible folder.

Yes sensible views have been expressed and other people have put the flesh on your argument for you. Something I am sure you were capable of, I am sure but deliberately chose not to. My argument is the club needs to produce its own players alongside good recruitment, players with some...

How man at managers have thrived under SISU

We do know as fans that the message given by SISU can change week to week, on occasions from day to day.

Perhaps the owners said he was shit hot (joke, just in case someone thinks it is a serious dig at SISU).

Except Hateley, he certainly was not sold for a decent fee...Portsmouth offer was a joke and the tribunal decision also a joke.

Squad compared to 12 months ago

Looking at the where will we finish thread, most seem to be predicting mid table.

    Mowbray and the Acadamy

It wouldn't surprise me if SISU do want to get rid off the academy, it would explain their strange approach to saving it (negotiating with Higgs). It wouldn't be their fault it would be Wasps and Higgs fault. As I pointed out the other day, there are other facilities around. A tie in with...

It's Sunday evening after a defeat. Everyone is bored. Shame you have to start work on a Sunday evening.

He doesn't, he is just giving himself licence he does not allow other poster to have? Where is your evidence of that Grendel?

    Mowbray and the Acadamy

A few too many thrown in for liking. But then Grendel never jumps in with both feet without a safety net or get out clause. It is the only way he can claim to never being wrong

    Mowbray and the Acadamy

Every Football Club and every Rugby Club in the country try to nurture their own players, even at grass roots level. In fact the higher you go the less likely you are to be successful. You have a good chance at League 1 level, which is exactly why you get a split between your own youth and...

Seriously, being 11 points off first place with 40 games to go is not the time to panic.

    Mowbray and the Acadamy

Both sit side by side I would suggest. Where would we be without the cash injection from Bigi, Christie, Wilson and Maddison. Plus we still have a crop who could prove useful at League 1 and Championship level. You have to source the next crop whether that is from within or from outside the club.

Of course there are facts, like us being in the bottom three of league 1, but only after 6 games. New. squad, young players...don't panic.

Thought so, no evidence to offer. Please don't get emotional ;)
