    Meltdown

Some fans have been over reliant on false optimism. I don't think automatic promotion was ever really on the cards, more like top 10 to play-offs; but if we could keep in touch and get on a roll at the right time we might sneak third spot. But we would need a rebuild for league 1. The club...

    Throwing the season away

So over reliance on Bayliss and McNulty. You can see it, I can see it, all fans can see it and anybody would be mad to think Robins can't see it. But he has the same problem Mowbray had and all managers have at this level - bringing in quality to help average players and inexperienced players...

    Throwing the season away

Because fans who have never managed a club know better?

    Throwing the season away

Perhaps the real delusion is with the fans who think we should be getting automatic promotion?

    Today was a disaster

The weather pre match was shit. It was a day for hardened fans. But at least the club tried.

New Ricoh deal close / One Year Agreed

A one year deal doesn't surprise me. Nothing really moved forward though.

Nuneaton MP to raise CCFC home next season in Parliament

Cardiff Blues have just had their talks with the owners of Cardiff Arms Park break down, negotiations that have taken 10 years! Perhaps we are not alone with these difficulties and these things more difficult than we the fans appreciate.

    The lack of consistency

Put your best fully fit team out, and rest any niggles. If we lose we lose but a good performance can build so much confidence for a promotion push. It can be such a team bonding experience the cup....but the league is our bread and butter and what the team exist for.

Match Thread Coventry City at Forest Green Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Feb

Stats are good at analysing the present and good at analysing the past. Where they fall down is predicting the future as they rely on things staying the same....and we know every team's form will change between now and the end of the season.

Match Thread Coventry City at Forest Green Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Feb

No if you lose the first six games you can spend a whole season fretting about them, but if you win the last 10 and get promoted nobody cares who you won or lost against. Just stay in the frame at this stage. Managers and coaches aren't deliberately trying to cock promotion up, they know they...

Match Thread Coventry City at Forest Green Rovers Match Thread - Saturday 3rd Feb

This top bottom analysis is bollocks....it is points that matter. It doesn't matter whether you are fourth or eight at this stage of the season (or who you have got your points against) if you are 4 or 6 points off second...you are still in with a shout. Oh we haven't put a run together...good...

    Always someone worse off

I still believe with transparency from the owners this can be overcome, if they are part of the finances they understand. If the owners say we will give you this finance each year they will understand. If they think the owner is holding back they expect more. The owners need to be clear this...

    Always someone worse off

Most clubs are in a mess. Time to run within your revenue and fans to lower expectation and accept the budget. Progress has to be realistic. But at the same time the owners need to make the fans feel involved and part of the process. Fans aren't stupid if they are aware of the actual finances...

    Motor Vehicle for Robins

No, so sensible investment within our revenue streams is the answer, building our revenue by embracing our fan base is key, along with along term plan and corporate philosophy is the way to go. A new manager and new squad of rejects every 15 months get you nowhere

    Motor Vehicle for Robins

Joe Royle took several seasons to build Oldham due to injuries and General development and gave them their most successful period ever ...so yes you can do it on second and third attempt. We have had your model, sack managers and hope for a bounce, since the Championship; we are now in League 2...

    Motor Vehicle for Robins

    1. It depends whether they aren't doing what he is asking them to do vs other people are aren't doing what is asked of them. Of course a different combination might not have won the game anyway. 2. I doubt whether he thinks points away from home aren't needed.

    Motor Vehicle for Robins

It seems like you have illustrated individual players being responsible there He never answers who should we sign or who should we appoint. He just likes to slang people off.

    The lack of consistency

Rowland Winter is doing a fantastic job at Coventry Rugby and I think it is worthwhile analysing his approach: 1. Coventry Rugby should be in a higher league (Coventry City we would agree the same). 2. Aim to get them promoted, no time scale, but a four year plan to develop the club and an aim...
