Well done all involved. Really good effort, and for all the generous contributions.

CCFC supporters club - Coventry Branch

I’ll be starting the Northam and Westward Ho! Supporters club. I’ll be sat in the dark corner of my local pub on my own, in my Coventry top and my 50/50 scarf (Coventry/Exeter). Easy to spot. Just in case anyone else happens to be in there dressed the same, I’m the one wearing slippers and...

    English or British?

Devonian first, as this is where my ancestors built their first settlements and they lived in mud huts and hunted wild animals and scavenged in the forests back in the 1970s. English then.

    Old expressions your parents/grandparents used

My Gran used to say “you’ve got to eat a little bit of dirt before you die” generally after picking food off the floor and putting it in her mouth while winking. I’d stand there in disbelief watching her eat a hairy boiled sweet or a roast potato dropped in the muck and dust of a thick carpet...

    No Interest Whatsoever

So glad I am not alone when it comes to being completely uninterested in cars. Also on my list would be: Women’s football food and drink. As long as it is reasonably healthy why go on about it and pay stupid amounts of money for wine that tastes just like any other wine or basic foods cooked in...

Helping out fellow fans Part II

Great effort. I made a donation today. Other clubs and their fans should take a look at this example. It is encouraging and heartening to see. Proud of the fans/ contributors. Hope all recipients enjoy every minute of this. I may have missed if it has already been said but how many STs will this...

25/1 to win the title & 9/1 to be promoted

I’ve got a double on Coventry and Exeter to get promoted. Did it last season but both clubs just missed out on play offs. More confident for both teams this season so hoping for a £2300 payback (or not).

    Kit launch at Coombe Abbey

Got mine ordered. No problems. I was 192. Didn’t have to queue for long. Only one in front of me so I was in within a minute.

    Kit launch at Coombe Abbey

Quite like the home kit. Not an embroidered badge (how many washes will that survive). Like it enough to order one. Disappointed we haven’t gone for the 77/78 kit style but live in hope that one day ...... Away kit looks ok but not my cup of tea. Just not a fan of yellow kits. Would hate to...

    Carabao Cup

Exeter will bring about 400-500. Depends on how their season starts. Not the draw I wanted. I watch both teams. Will probably travel up for this one (home end, of course).

    Goalkeeper

Christy Pym from Exeter City out of contract. Watch both clubs and he’s certainly no worse than Burge.

    Hummell

A thing of beauty. Need a cold shower now.

    Hummell

Can you do a version with the classic 77/78 kit. My favourite by a long shot.

    Our path to the playoffs

If nothing else it will add a few hundred more to the attendance on Saturday.

    Our path to the playoffs

Interesting, and so the dream continues.

    Anybody else hating...

There’s always iFollow to watch re-runs of games, videos, etc. Christmas decorations and lights go up this weekend for me. Even my local team, Exeter, don’t have a game, so can’t pop down there. Plan my next trip up to Coventry in January. Hopefully the rest will be good for the team and they’ll...

Footballers who don’t look like footballers

George grew up on a farm in North Devon and played Rugby (not football) until he was 16. Probably not your typical looking footballer. Good solid player at Exeter. Used to watch him play down there a bit. As for others, agree about Crouch. What about Jan Molby when he was at Liverpool? Matt...
