    Hate the Olympics thread!

BBC News 24 and to a lesser extent Sky News are almost all Olympics whilst BBC Parliament has been suspended for the duration of the games.

    Hate the Olympics thread!

My biggest gripe is that the BBC news bulletins and BBC News channel are almost completely filled with Olympic reports in spite of the continuous coverage on other BBC channels. What's the point of that?

    PC help

Probably. It supports SATA 2 (3Gb/s) but many of today's drives are SATA 3 (6Gb/s) which usually claim to be backwards-compatible with SATA 2 but this can sometimes depend on which chipset is fitted to the motherboard. The whole thing can be very hit and miss.

Surely at sell-out at CV6 on Friday night then...

There'll still be empty seats no matter how many are sold. The corporate sponsors and officials for example won't be making the journey from London to Coventry just to watch the match.

    How to win the lottery

That's called the "Martingale" betting system and is equally futile. That casinos haven't banned it shows how confident they are of eventually winning. The "gambler's fallacy" would be that say red having come nine times already on a roulette wheel would be less likely to come up a tenth time...

    How to win the lottery

^^^ What you've just described is known as "The Gambler's Fallacy" Try using it to play the even chance odds at a roulette table and see how far you get? Past events can have no bearing on future outcomes.

    olympic opening ceremony

Am I the only one who noticed the size of Amelia Harris' tits in the post opening ceremony analysis? We normally only see her from the front, it's the first time I've seen her in profile.
