    Just thought I’d flag this up in case people park there. Wheelwright Lane is in the restricted zone. Several cars were ticketed on Saturday. As were several on St. Giles Road (only the first 100 metres at the top).

    Not likely to improve anything given the (Rightly) entitled way that pedestrians cross the road. They also made an effort to play by the rules but it was simply not safe due to the aggressive driving when people were on crossings/ coming out of junctions.

    There is the potential for any crowd anywhere to bottleneck and put themselves at risk. If the traffic lights increase that risk, it makes sense to allow pedestrians smooth exit. There are clear pinch points and anyone could see that. Even the car drivers who insisted on pushing through once...

    It’s not much hassle really. There are loads of local work-rounds. I did notice a mile tailback from Bowling Green Lane to Bedworth by-pass. Just over a mile. But you get that at certain times on every day. It hit that area about 40 minutes after the end of the game. A444 via that route...
