Thought that after Friday. Chaplin is quite a good crosser, but is probably too slow for the wing. I think he fancies himself in a Paul Scholes role playing behind a front 2

    City v Peterborough Highlights

We have continued our record of draws against top clubs at home - Stanley, Posh and Sunderland with a loss to Pompey and the one win against Donny. 6/15 points against top six clubs playing at home. Bit of a challenge for the second half of the season (add in Luton). It shows the limitations of...

    City v Peterborough Highlights

Good deft touch under pressure by Bakayoko. I was about to leave but halted on the stairs, glad I did, but in the melee in the penalty area could not see Bakayoko clearly.

Hirwula has to be rested Back 5 no change assuming Davies not fit, but they have got to buck up, as Posh let them off twice Away from home, so a Bayliss, Kelly, Doyle and Thomas midfield has to be an option. JCH and Chappers up front This seems harsh on Bakayoko, who had a promising...

27 people posted ratings - a record. And several players really divide opinion - JCH and Chaplin. Voted man of the match was Thomas with Bayliss second. That is a marked improvement for Bayliss Dud of the match was Hirwula - his third DotM in succession. As the Player Ratings have been a guide...

    Luke Thomas

It would help if someone went toward him rather than waiting hopefully in the middle of the penalty area for an inch perfect cross, which given that Thomas is likely operating at full stretch and under pressure, not surprisingly doesn't arrive

My main bug bears are that he is too slow over the ground and that he does not go to the front post enough - the latter indicates a not very good football brain

But the sum of the parts is quite indicative and has been a predictor of change in the side

Yes you are probably right, a bit too harsh - I retract

I am buggered if I can see Chaplin's ability. He is endlessly cross with other players for not putting the ball where he says he wanted it, when he was not in a good position in the first place. He lacks the basic speed over 5-6 yards you need and seems rarely to think of going to the near post...

Chaplin has not got either the speed of brain, or speed over the ground to score the goals we need. McNulty had a good football brain

Bearing in mind 6 is average, and we scraped a draw at home Burge 6.5 - two very good saves, not at fault for the goal or the the two easy chances they fluffed Grimmer 7 - good going forward, but their main threat came from his side Hyam 6.5 - steady, but they should have scored twice and both...

What has Brown done to offend you, I thought he had an almost faultless game. Chaplin on the other hand was dire - to slow over the ground and in the head.

Not a good enough crosser and tends to lose his man - but 10/10 for enthusiasm and committment

It has to be the side that has 5 wins and a draw playing 4-4-2. The doubts are Davies's fitness - Hyam is more than capable Bayliss's form - I'd still play him ahead of Ogogo From what seemed to me an over-sized squad at the start of the season has been whittled down by form and fitness to a...

Messages from the last two games - which were worth losing as a way of finding out. Play offs are all that matters 4-3-3 doesn't work - midfield too thin. Stick to 4-4-2 Yoof needs to be brought in gradually. None of the promising names are really beating down the door Shipley is having a shit...

IF Davies is out we need to wrap Hyam and Willis in cotton wool. I'd find another partner for Thompson

The average score per player per game this season is around 6. It has drifted up with the winning run to 6.3. I don't include Cup games but had I done so the average would have definitely dropped !!
