    Question mark over rugby

The lawmakers certainly need to learn the lessons drawn from the contact-limits adopted from the current Premiership 'trial', and for the good of the game, improve on them. The game has, for too long, majored on dominance in the set-piece (and I say this as someone who played all his rugby in...

Match Thread Bristol City V Coventry City

In my mind, we were going undefeated until the end of the season. The full unexpurgated season. I'm not normally quite that positive, but I went to most of the 25 undefeated second division games and was hoping we could at least emulate that. (I know we'd need to avoid defeat on Saturday to do...

Can't imagine why they thought I'd be interested in this. Have placed an intial order of 100 units.

    Handling Bereavement ?

I've lost five family members this year, plus an old mate (of fifty years). I blarted like a twat every time, and there's nowt wrong with that IMO. Mind you, I blub if a cartoon bunny rabbit dies, so perhaps I'm just over-emotional.

    Started to develop atheritis

I appear to be getting it in my left thumb, oddly enough. Have had knee (right) problems for thirty odd years, and had a flush-out and cartilage trim way back then. Clunks like a bastard now, but no real pain, so I guess I'm lucky. The dragon had a Webber fracture about fifteen years ago (silly...

    Noom?

What's that all about then? It's being heavily pushed everywhere you look just lately. Is it just another faddy thing like Atkins and Cabbage Soup? They say not, but I'm not at the point of clicking through just yet. Anyone on it/doing it?

    Sounds eminently reasonable.

    Ngandu to Iceland

It is. I should have a house in Nomme (a beautiful suburb in S. Tallinn) but the soviet government gave us a choice of handing it over to the state or passing it on to a cousin. Did the latter. Hoping to visit the house next year as my daughter is in contact with the cousin's daughter now and is...

    General TV Thread

Overall it's pretty good (but I do find GA a bit odd in it tbh). Preferred Hinterland of my recent watches, and have just watched the first two seasons of Line of Duty. Preferred the second, but both watchable, if very, very convoluted.

Favourite Ever Cov City Player ?

True dat. And as for the roll call, I was just to the left of the Covered End goal, and about a third of the way up the terrace. Indelibly etched in my brain.

New Player Incoming - Leo Ostigard

Used to really piss my missus off continuously rearranging her NOEL letters on the mantel at Christmas.

Bloody hilarious. The bit about being in a very prosperous part of the country beggars belief too. Just desperate.

    COVENTRY RFC 20 -21

Cov sign tighthead prop Alex Gibson (24) from Hartpury, and loosehead Keston Lines (20) from Leicester. Kes is a Cov Kid and a Sky Blues fan, so he'll do.

    Parking at Football Grounds

Reminds me of Brandon on a Saturday night in the seventies - esp for Stox. Jammed in bumper- and door-to-door. No chance of leaving early unless you were on the edge rows.

Favourite Ever Cov City Player ?

Sorry, off topic. Sad to see that place now as an area of brick ends and litter. How short the life, eh? At least it's now been replaced with a much better one.

Favourite Ever Cov City Player ?

RR was one of my dad's favourites when I first started supporting. Mind, he always joked that he only started playing about a month before a Wales international game!

Favourite Ever Cov City Player ?

Ian Gibson, for all the obvious reasons. But before that, George Curtis - someone who embodied the very spirit of Coventry City, and would run through a brick wall for Jimmy Hill if he said so. George is still the man, but memories of Gibbo's magic still run deep.
