Council pays Sky Blues six-figure sum. ACL left to foot the bill

I wondered that too. Perhaps a clause in the lease with ACL that makes them responsible for any shortfall in rates on behalf of the various sub-tenants (CCFC, Casino etc). Seems odd though, because the VOA has in effect ruled that the rates charged weren't actually due. I suppose if nothing...

Awaiting a call from Mr Tim Fisher

I'm giving this a like, partly because it makes some sense, but mostly because you managed to work in the word "hoojamaflip". Tremendous, I always wondered how it was spelt. :)

Awaiting a call from Mr Tim Fisher

If the club would go bust in two years at the Ricoh under a rental deal, with crowds of (say) 10,000 plus, then how are they going to survive at Northampton with 2,000 or less. Maybe someone ought to tell the FL, because clearly the plan sold to them by Otium is false if ML's statements above...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

I think you need to read the trial transcripts again. Fisher wanted everyone to agree to the rent strike/escrow drawdown in his initial roadmap meeting. Within a short period it was clear that people weren't going to go along with this - that's also in the transcripts. SISU went ahead anyway...

    Sisu have ACL valuation !!!!!!!!

The last two are the easy ones - CCFC needed the £6.5m to save them from going under, and the charity gave them the money to help them out. The valuation was presumably agreed between the two parties, which of course is how values for things are typically established, and there was a formula...

    Sisu have ACL valuation !!!!!!!!

You're implying here that the charity are ripping SISU off if they want to get somewhere close to what they put in, I think. I'd suggest the true rip-off is SISU expecting/demanding to get hold of it for way less than that - especially on the back of a valuation done at the point they've taken...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

I'm glad that we're clear that ACL aren't distressing SISU at the moment - it seemed that you were suggesting that they were somehow. With regard to the past, I think it's fairly reasonable to assume that at the point when SISU stopped paying the rent and starting threatening liquidation most...

    Sisu have ACL valuation !!!!!!!!

I'm still at a bit confused here as to why people like Nick seem to think the Higgs charity should be obliged to sell their shares for a loss. There still seems to be the argument that they bought the share in expectation of realising a substantial profit, and therefore the downside is that...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

Grendel's the slavish obsessive here, which is why I ignore him. Everything for him is about the council. I'm guessing he went to the toilet once and they didn't come round to flush it for him. Or he's just a troll - because as soon as he gets challenged for evidence he throws out a couple...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

Which one mate, specifically? The only email read in court from Chris West regarding PR and SISU related to Jan 2013 as I've said. Which one were you talking about, where's your evidence. I haven't mentioned SISU and a likely rent - we're obviously going be on the end of pretty high...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

I've got one you and ML might like. Smoke. Fire. In other words, there isn't actually any evidence of a Chris West PR campaign against SISU? And certainly not a current one. Or indeed of the somewhat risible idea that ACL could in some way distress SISU from thirty-five miles away and without...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

The only talk of Chris West and PR relating to SISU in the Higgs trial was back in Jan 2013, as far as I can find any mention of it. Obviously this was after SISU caused ACL direct financial damage by withholding payment of a lawful debt. If you don't pay your debts, and you end up in court...

Ten things we learnt from yesterday

Good point. It does seem strange that. But not as worrying as the fact that we still haven't got a picture of JS. For God's sake Torchy, can't you focus on the important stuff for once. ;)

Completely disagree - but it is an excellent retort, I'll give you that. ;) I wonder if MK's usual room is available.

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

ACL may indeed have fancied a new owner once the Administration process started - but once again it's obvious that there's no mechanism for that to happen if SISU pay the bills, or indeed negotiate in good faith. There were plenty of chances to sort this way before it got into Appleton's hands...

I'm sorry, in what way are ACL or CCC trying to distress SISU?

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

There is mate. Drop the plan to distress ACL in the hope of picking up the whole thing on the cheap, and bring the club back to the Ricoh. In itself this will make the club a few million quid next season and rebuild a few bridges. Once there, start negotiating in good faith, perhaps along the...

    Another smashing day in court

There's been plenty of chat about the football before, during, and even after the season. However this particular thread is talking about the court stuff. Some of us see that as more important than any single game or player, perhaps. If you don't, fair enough. Feel free to ignore the thread...

    Another smashing day in court

Exactly that. There's a big difference between the grinding down of individuals and private companies with the threats and pressure of expensive legal action, and to trying to do it against public bodies like the council. Fundamentally they've taken on someone with deep enough pockets to see...
