Southampton manager has just admitted McQueen's career is all-but over. Hasn't played in 2.5 years because of infected screws in his knee following ACL surgery.

    Danny Cashman.

Some Brighton fans on Twitter saying he's coming to us, a lot of them are also unhappy he's being released. Former England U17 international, can play striker, attacking midfield and on the wing.

Can someone explain me College football?

Basically, a lot more people go to University than live in a city with an NFL team. Someone in Alabama would need to travel hundreds of miles to watch a pro game, or travel in-state and go see Alabama or Auburn. It's also a lot easier to feel connected to the team of a University where you...

    Match Thread U23 v Cardiff

Newton, Burroughs at RWB and Tavares all impressive. Surprised by Tavares's hold-up play for a smaller striker, you can see he has 1st-team experience and knows how much physicality is needed in the mens game. Also thought Young looked good when he came on for Ngandu. Very calm on the ball and...

    Neither did Kyle McFadzean.

James Collins has just scored his 10th of the season, making it two 10+ goal Championship seasons in a row after getting 26 in his last League 1 season, but he's not enough of an upgrade on Biamou for some people here.

    Budget / Sheaf

I'm sure I saw Biamou was a 70-80k figure somewhere. And wasn't Walker £600k rather than a million?

    Bayliss - PNE perspective

Not sure if I'd take Bayliss back tbh. Was great at getting us further up the pitch but technique-wise seemed a tad lacking. If we play 5-2-1-2 next season then I don't think there's a natural fit for him in any position.

Fletcher and Assombalonga both released. Warnock said they've already got clubs lined up for next season so didn't want them around anymore.

23 goals in the Championship in the last 2 years. Definite upgrade on Biamou.

Good player but he signed a new contract in January, so we're looking at least a £500k+ bid to get him.

Yup. Ex-Man City and star England youth midfielder, let the praise go to his head and got released. Joined Shrewsbury because the moves he wanted to Germany/Portugal didn't materialise and he has family in Shrews. Turned himself into a LWB and is their best player.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Couple of U23 players out of contract this summer: Reece Devine - CB/LB - Man Utd. Was normally a LB but played most of his games for United at CB this season. Could be an option for our troublesome LCB spot. 6'0 so not bad height, good pace, strong in a tackle. I know you all love a YouTube...

Would love Ogbeta from Shrewsbury at LWB. Pace, technique, passing, crossing, set pieces. Kid has got it all plus goals like this -

    Forwards

I’d take Godden, Walker, Gyokeres and an upgrade on Biamou

    Gyökeres

If it helps keep Osti around then MR should give him a 4-year contract!

Give Walker service in the box instead of 25-yards out like normal and he’ll score 15 next season

    Player suggestions for the summer

Delap will be in Man City’s 1st team squad next season. Guardiola has already said. Also, everyone calling for the Rotherham keeper should take a look at Boro’s 2nd goal tonight. Absolute howler trying to catch a cross.

    Player suggestions for the summer

Some CB options: Arthur Theate - Oostende. 6'4 left-footed CB, 20-years-old. Played nearly every game, 3 goals. Lewis Monstma - Lincoln City. 22-years-old, 4 goals this season, pretty tall. Solid performer. Cameron Humphreys-Grant - Zulte Waregem. Former Man City CB out in Belgium. English...
