I’m still not sure what his principle asset is. He’s not clinical, he’s not got a trick, he’s not slow but he’s not super quick, he’s very one footed, not dominant in the air…..

Robins had been out of work for over a year when he rejoined us having failed at his other clubs …. He was hardly spoilt for choice.

Frank has talked a lot about the importance of the Chelsea spine and that spine running the changing room. In his short managerial career so far he has always brought in a very experienced centre half to compliment younger players with potential.

Hopefully his previous form is not a guide to his true ability. Horrible turning circle, gets caught for pace too often, with a scatter of red cards. I rather doubt he will be the answer.
