The other point is that even if Putin doesn't care a jot for the Russian economy, many of those around him will. Sooner or later, that's going to get uncomfortable. He might be able to take Ukraine, but holding on to it without huge casualties and vast costs doesn't seem at all likely to me...

The point of a certain poster banging on about Corbyn is to try to distract from the mess the Government's made, and the pit of corruption they find themselves in. It's designed to deflect from an uncomfortable truth regarding undue Russian influence on our ruling party.
