    USSR invades Ukraine.

Don't see any "nice" solutions. 1. Ukraine retakes territory but at a huge cost. Possibly some but not all in particular the Crimea. 2. Russia manages to hold territory - again at a huge cost to both sides. Then you have "an aggressive, confident" Russia that will strengthen its military before...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Ukraine may not. NATO is the West and that means they will stand for it because of trade. Harsh but true. Been ignoring all sorts of Chinese wrongdoings for years in exchange for profit - at Govt and ground level. Everyone can go through their belongings and find a multitude of "made in China"...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Russia can't afford to find the meat grinder for years. They're about to throw in a load of conscripts and that hasn't been going well for them. Large casualties there will increase domestic pressure. Negotiations mean giving up territory which sets a bad precedent for other countries (as well...

    The official NFL Thread

Great game. Even with 2 great O lines the value of mobile QBs shone through. All the game stats pointed to Eagles win but every now and again it's not about stats. Eagles will be back in contention next year Chiefs have areas they can improve on - WR,etc but their drafting last couple of...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

For Sweden to give up years of neutrality would suggest they agree. Finland rush to join NATO again suggests similar fears. Would Putin leave any territorial gains demilitarised ? Thus closing the physical gap between Russia and NATO - one of the very things he claims he is trying to prevent...

sadly forthe parents that's a number that's going to increase considerably over next few weeks.

    Premier League thread

Wouldn't trust on the field personnel to use it properly. They don't get a good enough overview. You'd need an analyst in the stands much like in the NFL.

    Remote working in Europe

Spoke to a friend here in Budapest. If you're working remotely (but still getting paid in UK and not making money from Hungarian sources) for less than 90 days out 180 then it's fine in terms of visas and tax. Digital nomad visa for those that want to stay longer but Hungary's only valid for 12...

China watching on closely. Outcome will define their policy on Taiwan and other disputed areas. Sanctions also different for China - far more damaging for them.

    Wasps downward spiral...

Exactly. What's the capacity 10-11k? Limited hospitality and sponsorship. Worcester couldn't make it work without Duckworth's large resources - and that was for the local team. Bet london-based Wasps fans are thrilled with the prospect of M25/M40 to watch games.

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Other issue is scale. Ukraine is territorially massive and obviously has a large population. Poland aside rest of eastern Europe is small. Russia could theoretically take any of the Baltic States in 48 hours (once Ukraine war is concluded).

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Not going to do it now. But success in Ukraine would cement the mindset of "might is right," and they can do what they want. Russian mindset is success against Ukraine is success against NATO and the West. They could just pick off eastern Europe one at a time - maybe Lithuania next to link to...

    Wasps signs have actually gone!!

Been just as critical about football on this subject. The rugby (and football) authorities allow this financial mismanagement whilst protecting the interests in the own little fiefdoms. Also blame govts for allowing them to get away with it.

    Wasps downward spiral...

So Stourbridge much closer to Worcester than cov . surely Wasps parachuting in has a bigger effect on the local rugby community?

    Wasps downward spiral...

why is it empty if Stourbridge are relocating there under the new ownership?

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Interesting phase. Transparent what Russian intentions are but Ukrainian military leadership has been adept at handling things previously. Still a game changer if Ukraine can break through in the South and threaten both supply lines in and out Crimea (coastal rotes and the Kerch bridge)...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

His takes on Russia/ukraine and other issues like China are always interesting. The Crimea water point was one raised by Russia early on - calling it a potential attack on civilian populations but now seems redundant considering their own attacks on urban populations & energy infrastructure...

    Ndlovu's Kids

He was "notorious" back in the day. Butt of many jokes about scoring more off the field than on it😄 seriously he was nice kid who on his day was a great talent on the pitch
