Need a Leicester win tonight - just to keep that 2nd place 'open' for us. Ipswich already stumbling, Leeds and Southampton to unfathomably implode (plus we've still got them all to wallop)

    Doug King's radio interview

I'm all for tougher measures - just saying that it's harsh for a club to be punished for individual idiots. Like the pitch invaders that seemed to happen at the CBS last season (we'd have all been furious if we'd missed out on the play offs due to a pitch incursion/points deduction - as would...

    Doug King's radio interview

Not sure about this. Let's say we needed to win the last game of the season away at Leicester / wherever. You could get a Cov fan go in amongst the away fans, 'act the twat' and get the game forfeited with us getting the 3 points as a result. May sound an extreme example, but it only takes one...

Get that clown out of goal

To be fair to Wilson, he still seems bouncy and joking in the City Unseen clips. I know that's not 'proof', but it's good that his bubbly/positive attitude appears to have remained, despite being replaced.

Go on facebook - Ross Quartermaine (done loads for City supporters - very good)

    Transfer targets

If we've got ££££s, why not Stansfield to replace Godden, plus Liam Miller from PNE.

Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday - Coventry City [FA] Match Thread - Friday 26th Jan

A narrow win at best, assuming we rest O'Hare, Saka and Palmer (i.e. most of our attacking flair) Jamie Allen baby to 'star' as our attacking midfield player, capitalising on defensive errors by them (had a weird dream about it last night)

Leeds 95% certain to be top 6 anyway. At least it reduces the possibility of PNE joining the party.

    Bobby Thomas it is then!

I'd somehow love to get through to the final and play Ipswich. Nice bunch of fans, plus I'd fancy us against them.

    What - no crowds?!

    Championship thread 23/24

If we got there, I'm not too fussed about staying there; 90+ % certain we'd be bottom 4. If it gives us financial stability/makes us stronger for the next few seasons, that'd be fine by me. Serious question from a fans point of view - would we enjoy being in the Pl, winning one game in seven or...

I see Sunderland are trying to get that PNE winger Liam Miller. Looked a decent player - we should get him just to p^ss them off!

    Do we even miss Hamer?

I'd have Hamer back, but not Gus

    Championship thread 23/24

I said will fall short, not massively drop off. I've had a look at their remaining fixtures and don't see them finishing above us - could be wrong, obviously!

    Championship thread 23/24

I can see Hull winning their next 3 , so wouldn't be surprised if they caught us during that period (unless we beat Norwich away - very tough, plus if we win in the cup, the Millwall game gets cancelled). Hull have Millwall (h) Swansea (h) Rotherham (a) City have Bristol City (h) Norwich (a)...

We needed one last season, then he won the golden glove ! As of now, If it ain't broke, don't fix it !

Today convinced me M'Boro will fall short, but Hull (next 3 games very winnable) and Norwich (now that Sargent is back) are likely to have a big say in the play off race - West Brom getting closer to the pack now. Need to beat Bristol City to keep the pressure on!

Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 20th Jan

To be fair to Wednesdayites, their forum seems full of sensible posters or, at least, is very well moderated in terms of content. Majority of their fans recognise we are a good team. The usual 'rubbish ref' seems to resonate with most fanbases.

Wilson, Ben (not Callum! - cup tied) Binks, Lati, Da Silva, Allen, Thor/Torp, whatever the Viking's name is) with Simms and Tavares up top all to start in the cup game. Maybe chuck in a promising youngster or two.
