You're right in a way, shouldn't really be comparing them 2 either but Hamer was at least brought in to replace Walsh's creativity. Sheaf is a deeper lying midfield player, breaking up play & getting the team moving forward. Was one of the best in League 1 in his role.

No chance on Camp. In fairness to @Grendel on Hyam I don't think he tried to make him a boo boy, he raised a valid concern that he would be exposed at this level & tbf whilst he has generally been solid he has been beaten far too easily on more than one occasion.

He is 33 & was last playing as a semi-pro in the Ryman League 9 years ago. Whilst he obviously has a little pedigree, that would be some upturn to suddenly turn into a League standard professional. Can't see it being anymore than a publicity stunt.

Yeah, their fee would be uncertain but he's improved a lot & would likely be a first team regular elsewhere. I think they'd take the risk of having him for 6 months & the tribunal fee than sell for £500k in January. All the talk in Bristol is they expect him to sign a new deal anyway.
