for the 100th time they are planning to sell STs there next year https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2024/march/news-sky-blues-fans-to-be-in-south-stand-for-all-remaining-home-games/

They've already said they aim to sell STs there, if they do they will only be closing it for cup games where we're obliged to give a bigger allocation. Agreed about the atmosphere area. Market it that way from the start. Maybe even make it 16+ or something to dissuade families from buying there.

Match Thread Coventry City - Leeds United Match Thread - Saturday 6th Apr

Genuinely think he might do something like Dasilva at left mid to play a 451 (Torp/Eccles/Sheaf) midfield. Or even Eccles wide right, O'Hare in the middle.

    Atmosphere

Tense games like Leicester do, high stakes but we’re not necessarily expecting to win. Tense games like Cardiff or Bristol don’t. It goes back to expectations- Rotherham everyone expected us to win comfortably. So met expectations, nothing more. Leicester you couldn’t really expect us to win...

    Atmosphere

They're the melts that love to complain about the atmosphere though. So they'll only have themselves to blame. It's bordering on tinpot but the club should designate it as the singing section or something to get the message across.

    The Run In

It just doesn't make sense though? Our only backups for Wright/Saka in the wide positions were a shoehorned in Palmer and Tavares. We needed a winger and didn't get one. Transfers often break down, they should've had a backup (or just signed someone else too, a loan if needs be).

    Transfer targets

Just heard that Kitching could be off in the summer. Cardiff looking for a new striker and prepared to pay up after yesterdays performance.

    Atmosphere

The majority of it is just expectations vs results. This looks likely to be the first full season under Robins in which we don't finish in a higher league position than the previous. The way our games are going doesn't help either, there have been very few times we've taken comfortable leads...

    Callum O'Hare

O'Hare is better in pretty much all the playmaking stats per 90 but apparently Palmer should get the start because his plasterer has to use a stepladder?

    The Run In

EMC is completely irrelevant when he doesn't even join the club till the summer. The sums haven't been exchanged. To all intents and purposes it is a summer signing.

Match Thread Coventry City - Leeds United Match Thread - Saturday 6th Apr

He can't start a team like he did at their place. I'm thinking back to the Leicester game. That's the kind of performance we need.

Assuming there's no issues the club will be selling STs in the south stand next season won't they? Surely the answer is obvious then, the singers corner lot move there. Complaints about it are short sighted imo. It's potentially worth what, £60k+ per game to the club?

    The Run In

You cant say that with a straight face :ROFLMAO: I said at the time our failure to recruit a winger would cost us playoffs - maybe it still won't yet but we obviously got messed around by P'boro. Not the best piece of business we've ever done.

Match Thread Coventry City - Leeds United Match Thread - Saturday 6th Apr

Got to say, the result yesterday dampened by optimism for the league season. Feel like we need 4 points from the next two now.
  16. skybluecam

    Probably just over-glamourising other teams

That's the next step Robins has to find. Other than Rotherham we've not really had a comfortable league win since Sheff Wed on Boxing Day? Both games over easter we went ahead and then let the opposition back in to the game with soft, soft goals. An automatic promotion chasing side would put...

Yes we are. And Palmer isn’t and won’t be a Premier League quality player

Can’t blame him for that really, but should have been prepared to make subs early, especially for the international lads. That was the really baffling decision.

    Callum O'Hare

So if he turns into a completely different player, who’s consistent and has end product then he’s PL standard? Good to know. Not sure why it’s relevant to us though 🤣

    Callum O'Hare

He’s 27! Also on what evidence? When has Palmer ever been as dangerous as O’Hare was in that spell early in the year?
