    Season ticket prices

TBF this is just standard practice everywhere to talk things up. I can't recall a pre-season where ST sales weren't "up on the same point last season". On that basis we should be selling the place out. Yeah, we'll sell about the same - but it might be up a touch because of the finance option...

    Business being done early

But voted him play of the year the season before. Championship probably not the right level at this stage of his career. I always rated Baker (so did many others as we too voted him player of the year one season) but he is prone to inconsistency. Probably wouldn't want him back, not least...

    Season ticket prices

No pay on the gate, ticket office closing at The Butts and no tickets to be sold at the club shop at all, even on a non-matchday. Mmmm. Get a big walk-up of say 3000, and the matchday ticket office would have to sell 25 tickets a minute in the 2 hours before kick-off. Good luck with that.

    Summer Plans

I'm looking forward to an epic week in June. Off to the Euros for final group game, fly back to watch ODI at Edgbaston, then next day off to O2 to watch Joshua. Missus is furious :p

    Joe Cole thanks CCFC

It's very easy to make the point that our change in fortunes coincided with the arrival of Cole, but let's not pretend that it was the cause. You could argue that our fall from grace started the moment that Ryan Kent left (which it did actually), but I don't see too many people blaming it on...

    Accrington Stanley

There isn't a single town or city where that happens.

    Says it all

It's not really the case, because a large portion of Nuneaton's population originate from Coventry is you go back a few generations. I remember after we won the cup CCFC flags were hanging out of windows all over the town. We've seen a bit of that with Leicester this week, but fortunately not...

    Accrington Stanley

Not really. People saying things like "if you'd offered me ninth before the season, I'd have taken it". That shows a startling lack of ambition. It's the third division, it's shit, and just because you have a poor season doesn't mean things can't turn around massively the following year...

    Says it all

Aye. Following season it was about the same. We never took advantage of that new stadium boost, whereas the likes of Leicester and Southampton did. We just went on a long downward spiral.

There has always been some, but 'full', behave.

    Says it all

I make 10 years ago to be 2005/06 when our average was 21,180. Better than some of the clubs he mentioned, but behind a few, but not massively. The general point stands I think. There is a huge gulf now, but back then there wasn't much in it.

    Says it all

But it does to an extent because of the proximity. Had it been Watford or Swansea we'd all be cheering them on. It's amazing how many Leicester fans seem to have surfaced in Nuneaton recently. That should be fertile territory for CCFC but we seem to be losing it completely.

    Accrington Stanley

It's not arrogance, more frustration and envy. The problem with a lot of our fans is that our expectations are not high enough. People who 'settle' for mid-table in the 3rd division should have a serious word with themselves. We are where we are because that's where we deserve to be. But for...

    Season ticket prices

To some extent I don't know how much all of this matters. Clearly we want as many ST holders a possible - but actually we have easily the highest number of fans who pay on a match by match basis in the league, so our gate revenues must be pretty good. Bradford's average gate was only about...

Revenue. A lot will just pay the extra and those that won't will just move and pay the standard rate. It's just a way of generating more money. Remember this season, the 'open' areas sold out on 4 occasions and they had to start opening blocks in the north stand. Happens again next season...

    Upgrading next year

You've just listed all my favourite things and made them out to be bad :D. Been in there a couple of times, was OK but all a bit sanitised. Give me an open air trough to piss in and a seat next to a toothless moron dropping the C-bomb now and again every day of the week.

    Refund Scheme

I think it will be slightly more than that, but probably in that ballpark. There was a surge in sales in the lead up to Xmas this season, pre-season sales were 5800. Just making the point that we have sold 7000 STs in league one at the Ricoh before, and that was the last season when we had an...

    Refund Scheme

The 7000 threshold is not totally unrealistic. We sold more than that in our first league 1 season. It's unlikely, ST sales I suspect will be more or less what they were this season. Perhaps if they'd set the lower threshold at the level of this season's sales it would have been greeted with...

    Season ticket prices

I was thinking about having a little moan, but then my wife reminded me that I blow at least 20 quid before every game in the casino and so I should wind my neck in. These prices are OK. Move on, nothing to see here... Oh, and I had a mate moaning to me about the increase earlier, until I...
