    Plans for new stadium revealed

Yes, my thoughts as well, but how much would people pay. Maybe TF is trying to call peoples bluff here as well. If all you lot are saying we wont go until SISU go, we are in it long term so we wont need a big stadium because you lot wont come.

    Plans for new stadium revealed

Just a thought, lets assume for a minute this does get built. They want the money back as fast as possible so need to create a demand. A genius at SISU designs and builds a stadium which with a bit of success on the pitch will not be big enough and so they have created the demand for tickets...

    Plans for new stadium revealed

Exactly, how long has they been promising this? If its taken them this long to knock up a drawing with pretty standard CAD software or similar I think HS2 will be built before we see this stadium

    Plans for new stadium revealed

I did think it looked a bit over 23k as well but shouldn't we asking where's the land we're putting it on

    Boxing day

Your so cleaver aren't you, feel a right hard man behind your keyboard :claping hands: How does it mean that, get a grip.If people wish to go to Northampton, their choice but don't get behind NOPM and then go for one game!

    Boxing day

Anyone who uses this as an excuse to go to Northampton is no better than pond life as far as I'm concerned. If you wish to go to Northampton, join the other 1500 or so and go, some people have kids who are not old enough to understand and go for that reason, its your choice. Anyone who is...

    Coventry Athletic

Under normal circumstances yes, but we have FFP guidelines to follow. This means we have a budget of a mid table conference team. We are going only 1 way unless the tide turns fast

    Coventry Athletic

We have the 4th worst average attendance for the season so far in the entire country. Only Morecombe, Dagenham & Acrington have an average worse than ours. To put things into perspective in the conference Luton, Wrexham, Grimsby, Cambridge, Chester & Lincoln's is better than ours! (Stats...

    if afc coventry ???

I know what your saying but still think it wouldn't take off. Most of the people in Coventry can't be bothered to support their own team. Some of us who live outside the City would have no affiliation with the new club unless CCFC ceased to exists and just move onto our own town clubs, in my...

    Crewe Match Thread

After a poor performance last week & bit of a hiccup in the league important we win today. Some difficult games coming up as well. 2-1 win

    if afc coventry ???

Disagree. May at the start but people would drift away once reality set in. Already is a breakaway club if people have forgot, Coventry Utd and there not getting big attendances & whats wrong with Coventry Sphinx? Not for me or many people have said before, same thread that appears every few weeks

    Safeguarding English Football

Didnt Man City fans refuse to go to Emerates last season as a protest about paying high matchday costs? Money talks though and unless the armchair supporters stop paying there subscriptions nothing will happen. We can only hope people 'grow a pair' and refuse to pay extra for the BT Sports...

Why a new ground is the fair way forward

I'd like to see the figures for all of this, based on this figure of £25m. As James said sell some of the surrounding land + any money from naming rights and sponsorships of the stands/stadium. Would they be entitled to any grants, EU or otherwise? They may end up having to find very little...

    Shareholder's meeting.

If anyone is interested see for yourselves just how much space would be required. http://www.freemaptools.com/area-calculator.htm Makes sense to have everything on the same site but max of 22,000, really...? So Tim we have gone from selling Highfield Rd which wasn't big enough, season upon...

    This plan might work but......

Ignoring post? Like how you have conviently ignored mine to your response re matchday costs as you dont have a sensible reply. I am not an ACL fan, I am not privy to financial dealings so as far as I'm concerned all parties all have to carry some of the blame going right back to the decision to...

    This plan might work but......

I don't expect you or any of us to see any evidence yet, this plan NOPM is going to take at least a couple of season's to take hold. Based on average of only 1 in 5 supporters turning up at Northampton I would be surprised if questions are not being asked behind the scenes

    This plan might work but......

Assuming those figures are correct it wouldn't take much to hit that target on a week to week basis at non-league levels with the attendances people talk about. I don't think the numbers people talk about would go anyway but we'll save that argument for a different thread eh
  18. S

    This plan might work but......

Why not? If these free to play deals that have been offered it would be good publicity for ACL and better than the current team they have playing there. If this AFC Coventry did ever get off the ground, the attendances that people talk about its more realistic than The Butts with 2 other teams...

    3rd round draw

Those who are serious about NOPM, this is the type of draw we should have wanted, bit less winnable though

    3rd round draw

Assuming we beat hartlepool this would be winable though especially with the large away following we could have. At least its not a glamour tie though
