    CCFC Title Win Reactions/Celebrations

This was back in the 80’s. All weather pitch not far off the M32. Main problem was avoiding cricket balls from the guys having nets there (without nets).

Standing in the pissing rain at Forest Green.

I’m still scarred by our first game after relegation from the Prem, away to Stockport. Rang my Dad on the way home, said that in a way it’d be a pity to only be down for a year As winning every week would be fun. Hmmmmmm....

Video CLASSIC HIGHLIGHTS | FA Cup Semi-Final 1987 - Coventry City 3-2 Leeds United

I did every game in that cup run too, but have very different memories of Old Trafford. I was standing behind the goal where Houch scored and it was packed with City fans.i remember singing “George and John’s Sky Blue Army” non stop during the second half.

    First ever CCFC memories ?

Was born and brought up in Shropshire, but Dad came from Coventry and supported them (taken to his first game when he was 18 months old) so there was only ever one team for me. Great game. Watched that with my Dad from the Paddock in front of the Main Stand. Hutch was brilliant that day which doesn't really show from the highlights.

    Good on Paper XI

I'm pretty sure "Big Ron" signed Jess. Wasn't it at the same time we signed Daish?

Who is our most successful penalty taker of all time?

Don't remember Nuddy missing many. I seem to recall that he sometimes took them left footed and sometimes right. Can anyone confirm (or otherwise)?

    Good on Paper XI

Apart from the 2-0 win away to Wimbledon (at Selhurst Park) where the win kept us up. He was brilliant that day.

Best Performance by an Opposition Player

Hoddle on a frozen Highfield Road pitch in the mid 80's. No one else could even stand up. Every time the ball came to him - at any angle, speed or height - he played brilliant first time passes.

Agreed. Plus an honourable mention for Gordon Milne for the 77/78 season/team (and the signings of Stein and Hutch!).
