    Tonights games

Maybe not top 2 team at the moment but I can see TM further strengthening as the season progresses. With Maddison returning and Fortune maybe hitting some good form IMO we can get better as the season progresses

    Tonights games

It's not though is it? Just being in the top 6 generates extra enthusiasm and determination from team and supporters

Blog post about CCFC from a Luton fan

And statistically the longer it goes on, the more likely we will finish in the top 6 (obviously). I'm going for this season. I remember Jimmy Greaves smirking on TV (obviously before 1987) about what is the difference between the pope and Coventry city, the pope's been to Wembley. That joke was...

Mick Quinn has waded in to say leave Armstrong where he is

    Armstrong recall

This article is the very reason Newcastle shouldn't recall Armstrong, even in January. 6 weeks ago very few people had heard of him outside Newcastle, except for a few involved in the England under 18's Now he is being mentioned all over the place, including almost weekly on sports TV. If he can...

A new way of looking at the table

I agree we should take one game at a time but currently we are 4th and averaging 2 points per game. I really don't see any reason to think about what we need to do to avoid relegation at this point.

A new way of looking at the table

You have to get used to the idea that things are different now, we have a team that can genuinely push for promo, and I fully expect the loans to be replaced with equally good players, if/when they get recalled

    Burge tomorrow

We will see what sort of character he is today after all the criticism. I'm expecting him to play well. I seem to remember thinking the same last year, I thought we would get relegated with him in goal towards the end of the season but he had some good games, as well as a couple of howlers. IMO...

    Armstrong's attitude

To get back on to the subject, Adam was quoted as saying this when he received the award. “Hopefully it won’t be the only success we can achieve together this season.” Sounds positive, I know it won't be his decision alone whether he stays the whole season but he will have some input.

    Ryan Kent

Wasn't this the same story with Fortune' I wonder how many other players are training at Ryton we don't know about.

Reice charles cooke- time for a call up

Sorry I disagree entirely with this, he will know only too well the errors he made on Sunday, he must be concerned in his own mind about how difficult he found it to catch the ball. If I make a mistake at work it plays on my mind until I sort it out, so dropping him might actually help him work...

    Next 6 Games

The next 6 games will take us about a quarter of the way though the season: Scunthorpe (A) Chesterfield (H) Bury (A) Shrewsbury (H) Fleetwood (A) Blackpool (H) We got 13 points from more difficult games up to now (on paper) so I don't see any reason why we can't get 13 points from these...

...replays suggested Vincelot was narrowly onside...

I thought he was onside when the ball was played in, the replays of him tapping it in looked bad but he was always behind the ball.

Burge is going to give me a heart attack!

There were a couple of times when he didn't even get his hands around the ball, it just went through his outstretched gloves

    Nicky Ajose?

Sounds like he was on about 8K per week, over 2 years that's nearly 1M. I would guess it has cost more that a few thousand to settle with him.

Yes Bentley played a blinder. 6 goals conceded in the last 3 games is very worrying

3 Things To be positive About Next Week

    1. If we beat Southend we will be second, one point off the lead with a similar goal difference. 2. The only team to beat us this season is top of the league 3. Already there is a gap opening and IF we win we will be 4 points ahead of 8th placed Swindon. Can't get much better can it?

Hopes to bring in one of two

Before the season started I doubt if TM had any more idea how we would start than most of us on here. He had just watched his team give several mediocre performances against lower league opposition without scoring goals, and I expect he was as worried as us, maybe even more so. But the addition...
