Coventry City publish Accounts for Year Ended 31st May 2021

Reality is this season is probably as good as it’s going to get for the foreseeable. We still have a chance of playoffs but likelihood is we fall short. Then the asset strip and rebuild begin; Hamer will be sold & Gyokeres too if a decent offer comes in. We’ll look to replace them for similar...

    Khan v brook

Always thought prime Kell Brook beats prime Khan but didn’t know how this would go. Pleased for Brook as he always wanted this. Hope they both retire now though. Don’t want to see Brook vs Eubank or Benn

    January Transfer Window

With all the departures and by the looks of it no signing we’re going to limp to a mid table finish. We can all see the squad is stretched now. Given sisu are all about paying their own interest rates is Hamer worth more now or in the summer with a year left on his contract? Hope I’m wrong but...

    It’s time to go.

Problem is they are not going anywhere; they would have bailed long ago if they were. If memory serves me correctly when people have looked at the accounts the interest payments/charges being levelled on the club are to pay down Sisus initial poor investment. If we were to sell Hamer/Ohare for...

Transfer Rumour Jake Bidwell - Confirmed

Decent signing for us, just wonder if we are looking at change of formation. Kane and Bidwell more traditional full backs than the wing back style we have played in recent seasons.

    Stoke/Millwall/Luton attendances

This is where it gets silly, assuming milwall is off we now have three extra games to fit in despite having no cases. Will be midweek too so less walk up and reduced income (milwall was already midweek but it’s Xmas). Keep coming back to the same debate but if the league is carrying on then...

What odds on season being postponed?

Postponing the season will cause all sorts of problems. Next season is due to start end of July because of the winter World Cup. Think they’ll do everything they can to keep going whether that’s reduced attendances, behind closed doors e.t.c Think the covid pass and masks will kill some of the...

    Sky Blue Tavern

As others have said it’s just in the wrong place. Would have made more sense to turn the brewery bar at the stadium into the new tavern. Especially as they already have a bar in the spire in town. Shame as the place looks great

    Season ticket update

Season ticket replacement tickets just arrived. Now where’s my member shirt? TBF with COVID and the move to contactless not sure why we didn’t go down the QR code route for season tickets. We’re using ticketshafter who have the tech for gigs and other sporting events.

    Season ticket update

Same JSB pack has turned up but no tickets yet. Don’t help postal service seems to be intermittent nowadays.

    Waghorn Rumour

Wouldn’t mind signing Waghorn personally always thought he’s looked useful when he’s played against us. Im hoping Walker kicks on next season so assuming he’s our main man then Waghorn or Godden if we play two up. Like everyone I’d love a star striker signed but whose available and how much do...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Unfortunately the delta variant has changed the game. The need to double dose the adult population has obviously meant the original time lines have slipped. Disappointing as it is i think the public have naively convinced themselves the 21st was set in stone (something encouraged by Boris)...

    Season tickets posting

Will they even be posted? Thought Boddy may have mentioned that rather than new cards we were getting digital season tickets? Big brother bio metric vaccine passports👀

Whilst we all want this over I’m not sure what the harm is waiting a few more weeks to get more people jabbed. The good news is double vaccines work however this new variant has changed the picture and made the timelines harder to achieve. Rather than repeat the mistakes of last summer and...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

The 21st always struck me as the target they would have to row back on. I could never understand how you could remove the social distancing rules before all adults had received their first dose. likewise foreign travel; as much as we all would love a holiday why not just keep the borders shut...

Just work I dont get school holidays unfortunately. Whole country has had their lives on hold for too long but let’s get this over and done with once and for all. A small delay on the last restrictions left isn’t as bad as having to reintroduce them because we couldn’t wait.

Yes it was the Indian variant which is now becoming dominant I was referring too. Good news is that two doses work albeit the AZ vaccine given to older ages groups not so high although comparable to flu vaccine efficacy. How effective is one vaccine dose against Indian variant?

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Think it’s looking more and more likely that restrictions won’t all be lifted on the 21st. Whilst I don’t think we’re going to end up tightening the ones already released I think it’s prudent to just hold fire another month and see where we are. Vaccines are only 33% effective after one dose...
