    Time for Plain Speaking

Michael, being devil's advocate a little here, why is the 'AFC' option 'unachievable?' Why is disruption of matches 'unachievable?' Seems to me we should be deciding what to do NOW, not another damn survey please.

    It's about 98% Sisu. 2% Council.

Coventry City Council have Failed CCFC

Stupot, the club were offered very low rents over past year. Give it up, you're defending a hopeless case. You're splitting hairs at every turn.

    Convinced

Rusty, that's a strong possibility. Sisu simply want the Ricoh for next to nothing. Been said a million times. I'll add one more time.

New stadium press release from Sisu?

Just read that Brentford's plans for a new ground go up for approval anytime now. They started the process in 2002. And it is 20,000 capacity. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd envy Brentford fans.

    Fickle Fans

Don, don't think you can compare the atrocious owners we have had in the past ten years or so with the likes of Derrick and Peter Robbins, John Poynton and the like. The attendances as the 1970s turned into the 1980s onwards were pretty pathetic for a city our size. The figures speak for...

    Fickle Fans

Nice research Ron and well worth looking at. I think the thought is though that as a very big city our crowds don't and didn't always reflect that. Fernando's variables is point. A few of us have been at Highfield Road with crowds hovering around 8,000 in the top division. How the management of...

Sky Blue Sports & Leisure 2013 accounts

The club, if it is at Sixfields next year, will collapse. I'd say there will have been about 800 paying fans at Northampton Sky Blues last night. It isn't sustainable. I don't care what Fisher says.

International football is like watching paint dry. Boring. Having an emotional connection to your team is everything. No emotion at all for internationals. And if you think League football is expensive......

    Locals boosting the crowd.

Torchy says......"I won't apologise for highlighting your disgusting attitude towards those who attend Sixfields though." And I say, I'll continue to express my opinion that anyone attending Sixfields is very wrong and doing long term damage to the club. Rolling over for Sisu. Why the...

Torchomatic is just being malicious. He started off a year or two back being a sensible poster. Something happened and he's got very bitter and twisted. As I've mentioned once or twice, in a query with Hills83 I think it was, I'm 67. I have never been Kev Monks in all those years. I understand...

    Shrewsbury Match Thread

Schmmee, I've seen City in the bottom division, as have a few others who come onto these pages. But, we played in Coventry then. And OWNED our own ground. So, in a sense, YES, we are at the lowest point in the club's history. These are very dark times. For the club, the fans and the city of...

First time I have disagreement with Elvis

Lorks, agree with you, if we are at Sixfields next season you can forget top six. The players will be watching to see if we move back to the Ricoh. If we do it may, just may, influence their thinking. 2,000 fans (or less more likely) or 15,000 & going for promotion. Not a hard choice. They'll...
