I just think in the formation we're playing we need a striker who can play with his back to goal who can get hold of the ball and bring others into play, something Simms is woeful at.

It's mad. There's a whole host of reasons clubs loan players, relating to both finance and development. The idea they'll loan someone to a club because he used to play for them can't be high up the list.

He took time to settle, agreed. But his return over the season wasnt too bad, I think 5 or six goals and 5 assists in 30 league games and I'm sure he'll improve on that if he stays injury free.

Don't agree at all. Think he started to show what he can do but then struggled with injuries for the 2nd half of the season

I think he's a great player but think questions about his pace are valid given the formation we play. I'd still love us to sign him.
