Agree with Grendel. It wasn't the club's fault that ACL had tied up the facilities during the football season but, by not advising the customer as soon as they realised, the club has made it their problem. Hoping that it could be resolved and nobody would notice is not the way
If we sell it's because the club needs the money to pay bills, so, at that price, there wouldn't be much left, if any, for a replacement. So we end up gambling on a cheap loan or pick- up from a lower league who may turn out to be no better than Pask or Drysdale who we gave away.
Of course not but you know very well, if Gyok or Hamer couldn.t play Saturday because they picked up knocks there would be a meltdown about risking them in a cup game
The reaction to the team selection is nothing compared with the meltdown there would have been if one or two of our senior players had been injured.
When my friends and I were discussing this game a couple of weeks ago I said I didn't want to go and that was based on the team selection and...
Yes, but again we don't know that to be fact.
I believe the club should have been sufficiently aware of the risk to ask for away games at the start of the season and they might have done, but we don't know. That's my point.
As far as I see it the only facts are that the pitch was trashed by the Rugby 7s and there was insufficient time to repair it to a safe condition before our first home game.
Whether the club knew this, whether the club was insufficiently proactive is not the main issue. This, and everything...
So what you and , I think Grendel are saying , is that, no matter that ACL didn't replace the pitch as promised, no matter that the Rugby 7 s trashed the pitch, it's all the club's fault because Boddy didn't sneak in and carry out a pitch inspection
Do rugby players use less longer studs? I saw one CG 7s game and there were small divots flying up just from players running about. Do players need different footwear for modern hybrid pitches?
