2 points is such an insignificant punishment, that it will more than likely encourage clubs to overspend, with clubs knowing that the extra money they spend will probably net them more points than the eventual punishment.

Agreed...utter madness. Whenever i've watched Leeds games, Rutter's looked pretty poor. Apparently Leeds paid around 30m for him (fee+extras) from Hoffenheim (i think), which is in itself also madness. Rutter is bang average, and Leeds have won the lottery, it seems, by making a profit on him.
