Looks just like the area around the Stadium of Light.

It's a two-berth fixed bed Weinsberg (not common here, but saw quite a few in France and Spain last year. V popular in Germany as you get a Knaus van for less cash). Based on a Series 8 Fiat Ducato 140. It's classed as a 'compact' but still too big for car park barriers and many car park bays...

Precisely what I'd heard, and why I won't be venturing down from the very north of Italy. Even in May!

Isn’t Lake Garda getting a reputation for being absolutely rammed in the high season? Don't think I'd fancy it much in the moho, although I'd like to go.

Well, my France Passion '23 book, map and sticker just turned up, so we're just about set up now.

    What are you snobby about?

It was. Looking forward to the new series.

    What are you snobby about?

Henderson's was more widely available in Lincs when I lived there. Very similar apparently, but from Sheffield I think (or somewhere around there).

    What are you snobby about?

That's the snob bit. Prince's was always called 'spread'. The cheap shite was 'paste'.

Quite near another reasonably pleasant market town, Burgh le Marsh, but then you're getting dangerously close to the sheer hellhole of Skegness.

Good advice - I tend to travel there at 55 to 60mph max in the moho, which is plenty fast enough there.

Ah, sorry. Thought you meant you were there now. Duh. Whereabouts? One of the villages?

Yes, tempted to try to find something near Confolens. Love it. Armistice day was fun. We were travelling up from Ambrière-les-Vallées (another place well worth a visit, with a riverside aire) and every town and village seemed to have a parade on, with police, army, marching bands, priests... Got...

Near near? Is the Hundleby Inn (in Hundleby, just across the bypass) still going? Used to do a few decent real ciders and good grub (unusually for the area).

Slightly tongue in cheek. However, I have lived there, and really don't see the attraction apart from Lincoln itself, and a few market towns (Louth in particular, Horncastle, maybe Spilsby and Market Rasen). The Wolds are quite pretty, but much of the rest is naff. However, if you're a...

You won't find much in ours. We had to pay the extortionate amount for the moho somehow.

Two and a half hours north of Bordeaux and three hours from Spain? Lordy me, it took us about a week from Irun to Bordeaux. Ok, we stopped a fair few times, but I'm sure I couldn’t have done it in half an hour! Highlights in France last year were - on the way down - Confolens (dragon's cousin...
