Exactly this. Compare this to Jamie Allen's contribution last season. It is night and day. Palmer is clearly twice as skilful and has far more ability. I'm sure he's the best player in training every day. Come match day his impact on the result of a game is absolutely nothing. Don't really know...

Anyone who has watched Palmer will know why he doesn't start. Classic cameo from him today. Has ability but never has any meaningful impact on the result. Shooting is poor. Passing is poor.

Fair point but I would argue we have been quite fortunate with injuries since SheaF, MVE and O'Hare returned. Only feels like we are a couple of injuries from looking pretty ordinary again in my opinion. Even last night it showed Lati isn't a proper midfielder and Palmer isn't a wide player.

Agree. You can have a long term plan but still recognise we have an opportunity this season. Two steady loans could make all the difference.
