    Nazon

A very good point. With Nazon and Ponticelli up front the defenders get free headers

    The pitch

You are right in all you say but a heavier ball would probably behave better on that pitch

    Oh no! Corny jokes again

    Who could/should you have supported?

I was brought up in a village near Rugby and had no connection with Coventry. The village had a football team which I supported until I was old enough to play. On the odd day when we didn't have a game we might go to Leicester, because that's where the guy with the car chose and also because...

Match Thread Carlisle United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Dec

OK but I'll go back to my earlier comment. Who is going to win the ball off the defenders?

Match Thread Carlisle United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Dec

From what I have seen, Nazon doesn't look like a 90 min footballer, in which case it's better to bring him off the bench to play against a tired defence.....as long as he gets 30 mins at least

    Thomas unlikely to return?

He went from Div 3 to join Leicester. See no point in them loaning him out to a Div 4 club

    How much would promotion cost?

It might even be less than that after Stoke have been paid their share, but I suspect the additional numbers will just about compensate. It certainly doesn't look like a bonanza OK ST holders have to pay but I suspect the proportion of concession ST holders is larger than in the general...

Quite a devastating day in terms of City's fortunes

Because we don't know how to play against teams with well organised defences

    Coventry 3 Wycombe 2 Highlights

He didn't have his arms around him but it was a push and it was a penalty. Going into a tackle with your arms out towards the player you are tackling is straight from the Ryan Haynes coaching manual

    Happy Christmas !!!

Wishing you all a good Christmas and a peaceful and healthy 2018 ....and hopefully a second half of the season to get excited about.

Josh Barrett on loan from Reading

And hopefully he'll get a few days training with the team before he's eligible to play. And to comment on Ponticelli, from what I have seen he is the sort of player who picks up on chances created by others so he ought to benefit

    Leahy's Contract Cancelled

He was an Irish International in his age group so it seemed to be a bit of a coup when we signed him. It just goes to show that kids develop at their own pace . Some show promise early and kick on to great things, and some find a level and dont progress. And just a few are slow developers who...

    Stoke tickets from website issue

Last day for ST holders to reserve their seat was Wednesday, so the option will have disappeared.

    Players leaving in Jan window

And on another point. I don't believe most rumours After all, according to some on here with inside knowledge, Stevenson and Willis were sold last January. Certainly Stevenson hasn't looked the same player since he moved to Brentford !

    Players leaving in Jan window

He's not second fiddle to Biamou, they are different players. I like to see Nazon in the side, although he's never been good for 90 minutes, but he doesn't win the ball.

    Update on jodi jones

Didn't take any notice of make but, unlike most of the player's cars, it didn't have a noticeable reg. Not totally sure but I think Addai was driving

    Bayliss etc

The fact that he left Stevenson out after a couple of games where he looked better than earlier in the season and picked Bayliss instead might answer your question. OK he may have made a few mistakes but he didn't disappoint.
