Still ready with the candlestick, Prof' Plum...just lemme at him...

    New goalie needed

The key issues with RCC's game is probably very obvious to the coaching staff, and I imagine they're working on it extensively. Other than his unfortunate misjudgements that have cost us a few points, the defence is still holding steady with his influence. It'd be a mistake to drop him, imo...

    Joe Cole

I thought this, but it's probably down to Villa's complete lack of attentiveness regarding his fitness regime. As far back as I can remember, since he was in his late teens, he's always had fitness issues.

    LED Car Lights, Spotlights ETC

Oh I know, the oblique and skin-shearing rain coupled with LED bedazzling is such a delightful combo around these parts. Honestly, it's 15 minutes to my mum's house up the back lane, but in this weather and with morons and their LED fetish, it feels like I'm in that lane for a feckin' month.

    Announcement ?

Aye, but whether the rumour is accurate or holds water is surely up to the discretion of the reader? Me personally, I tend to go by gut feeling whether a rumour has merit. This one, hmm, maybe. I suppose it is gathering momentum, even now, so it'll be a chinese whisper before long. ;)

And The Cracks are Beggining to Show

The issues I've stated, mate. Lack of ruthlessness, cutting edge, dodgy tactical decisions and selections. Nothing spectacular, but it just strikes me as strange. Besides, you highlighted the Lameiras issue yourself - he's simply not deployed enough, or he's not deployed correctly.

And The Cracks are Beggining to Show

Aye, well, we need something to whinge about, mate. Either that, or we're annoying other members for fun. I guess the basis for my need to state and address the obvious issues, is so that maybe it will also occur to TM and his staff so they can eradicate the shortcomings. I understand...

    Announcement ?

I guess he meant 'rumour', not 'news'. That expression, by the way, is only used by ageing hippies and other escapist people. ;)

    Football 'Hard Men'

Duncan Ferguson was pretty hard, I'll give him that...nasty piece of work though, when he wanted to be. Stuart Pearce was obviously a tough guy on the pitch, off the pitch though, he was as calm and Zen as a sleeping monk. I met him a few years ago whilst doing some security work, hell of a...

And The Cracks are Beggining to Show

Would you rather paper over the cracks and live in ignorant bliss, mate? Yes, shit luck has suckered us in the last two games, but the issues are obvious...odd selections, odd formations, odd substitutions and negative tactics. Like I said to Otis, if TM and his tactics are above criticism then...

And The Cracks are Beggining to Show

I do echo this sentiment, especially the part about TM being under some odd constraints with team selection and tactics...maybe teams are indeed figuring us out, but then, TM doesn't strike me as a 2-dimensional tactician? Surely he has more in the bag than all-out attack and the strange...

    Announcement ?

Bloody hell fire, it's like a Murder Mystery Weekend. I'll hazard a guess at two of the clues, Colonel Mustard: Fleck is going and we're getting Cole on a permanent. Now for luring Fisher into the dining room, that candle stick has his name on it...

    Football 'Hard Men'

Aye, he was pretty nails, as I recall. Good left back as well, and a jackhammer of a left peg.

    A superb picture from yesterday

Fair play to you and the rest of Oldham's travelling fans, mate. As much as yesterday was frustrating, your lads deserved a point. Hope you pull your season round, cheers.

    Football 'Hard Men'

I always prayed for the day when Wolf would suplex his smug head in on Gladiators. Bah. Anyone remember Chic Charnley? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chic_Charnley Apparently, a solid centre-half, but he was pretty vicious.

    Announcement ?

That's even more cryptic than before...are we talking transfers now and not stadium plans? As I'm not in or around Coventry, this forum is basically my only port for news and rumours.

Might use this for now, since I can't get the proportions right for this forum.

    LED Car Lights, Spotlights ETC

Haha, the cautious approach, I should try it. Since I moved from South to Mid Wales, the level of driving I encounter has improved a tad, but now I'm getting stuck behind tractors a lot. So yes, discretion is probably the best course for me too, 'cos these farmers are all Rugby nutters.

    Joe Cole

Exactly, I'd love him to spring into life and recapture some of his spark. Immensely talented lad; had shit luck with injuries and whatnot, but in the event he doesn't find fitness or form, someone should definitely offer him a coaching job with us.

Best City XI of All-time (RM/RW)

Dave Bennett or David Thompson for me...tough one. Benno's assists or Thommo's aggression and eye for goal... Going old school, Dave Bennett. 80's
