I agree this is the version where he leaves us, but it would surely be frustrating for him to not see through the promotion to have something on his managerial CV. At the moment he still has nothing really.

Yeah I could see a lower position PL team picking him up if we have a good start, but I think he’ll still find it hard to leave as he’ll want a promotion on his CV. At the moment he still doesn’t have anything tangible to push his management achievements.

I think it’s all relative to the amount he cost. I suppose where I have changed my mind from his form at the end of the season is that if a good enough offer came in, I would be keen to take and find a better alternative. Previously, I would have said we should not sell him under any circumstances.

I have huge worries about us defensively. We went through a phase where we always looked likely to concede 2 every game. I wouldn’t say this means we need to get rid of Thomas and Kitching as they have promise but I would want another high quality CB bought to provide competition.

I think Sheff Utd going up further embarrasses the parachute system and might lead to changes, so I would support that I suppose.
