The Cov fans in front of the press box. There were one or two standing up in the first half singing the songs and really pissing off a couple of Saints fans. One Saints fan was getting really aggy with it all and marched up the steps to confront one of the Cov fans but the Stewards calmed a...

Was in the Saints end for one of our trips to the Dell as I could only get a ticket from a Saints ST holder who couldn't make it. Remember Carlton Palmer getting dogs abuse from their fans when defending corners. Can't recall why but it wasn't racist.

I'll be having a beer in the Harbour Hotel, about 10 mins walk from St Mary's. Has a great bar on the top floor with great views.

Now that Ismael has been sacked at WBA, I wonder if they'd consider MR as a replacement? If they would, that'll be a sign of the clubs ambitions - would MR stay if approached by WBA and if so, what would the club do to keep him?

Regardless of what they spent on the club beforehand, the 11 players who were the mainstay of their squad, we're brought in for £28m (just double checked) when some of the clubs who they were up against, had spent 5-10 times that amount.

Well of course - any team would be better off with more money. My point being that having say, the 20th ranked budget, doesn't necessarily mean we're going to finish 20th and there's decent precedent for that, if an irregular occurence.

    Looking Ahead to the Summer

I can't see us losing O'Hare, Gyo or Hamer this summer personally. I think all 3 will be with us next season. I'd also keep Shipley and Allen. They won't be automatic starters but we need a decent sized squad and both have proved on occasion this season, that they can be useful at times.

Well, not really. Leicester winning the league fits your analogy - a 5000/1 offering. Millwall finishing in the top 10 despite having a lower end budget isn't the same thing.

Good report. Some outliers though like Millwall, PNE and someone else...had to go back in and remember but you need to sign up. I agree that wages/expenditure can be a good indication of where a team should finish but there's plenty of examples of where the correlations don't work.

    Running

Bought these a couple of weeks ago. Been out 3 times, 2-3 miles at a time. Hate running but need to lose weight so thought if I bought a new pair of runners, it'll make me get out.
