Id imagine because Sheaf didn't have 83+ minutes in him, and Rudoni said he was OK, (until he wasnt)
I did think Allen might be the obvious replacement though, which would of meant Sheaf could of had 15-20 minutes.
We've been on an amazing run without actually playing that well, one day we will click and absolutely batter someone.
Hopefully that will be at Bramall Lane, by which time Sheaf, Patterson and Wright will be match sharp.
Torp and Patterson could slot into that position.
But ive always said that EMC could be useful in that role, and that would allow us to use Wright on the left side again. (Once fully fit)
Oxford had no fit Left backs, and we targeted that weakness, so Sakamoto was always going to look good today.
Hopefully he will take the confidence from today's performance into the next few games.
6 weeks if it doesn't need surgery, 3 months if it does.
Hopefully it isn't as bad as we fear, and he can make it to the end of the season with physio and injections.
