This is true and I’m not defending Collins here at all. Kitching certainly could have hoofed the ball away and he didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, Collins has to either stay in his box or be willing to hoof it straight away and did neither. It was hopeless goalkeeping… It’s also true that Kitching...

The writing was on the wall was there for Collins before Dovin’s injury. I’m perplexed Wilson has been offered a new contract if he’s presumably 3rd choice. Is he still injured? GK is going to be priority signing in the summer which is such a shame because Dovin is an excellent talent.

On the issue of time wasting, I do think there’s credence to the idea of having a 60 minute stop-clock. The amount of time the ball is in play is reducing and I’m sick of seeing shitty time wasting tactics. I also think we should play on whenever there’s an injury and physios can enter the...

Overall, we played well and imo were good value for a draw. Frankly, they didn’t really threaten us that much - they were ruthless when we presented them with two gifts for goals. I’m not sticking up for Collins when I’m pointing out that Kitching was also at fault. One of them should’ve dealt...

You’re right. It’s also true that if you’re unsure as a defender, you punt it out. Collins has been nominated as the scapegoat and whilst I think he’s not good enough, it doesn’t absolve Kitching from his part in the debacle. He look vulnerable in parts today.

They’re both equally culpable for the goal. Poor communication and indecision between the two and it was a similar story today as it was v Leeds. You can’t give away 2 poor goals and expect to come away with points. We were good value for a point or 3 before we went into kamikaze mode. The...

Quite likely, tbf. The WTO has turned a blind eye to Chinese rules so it’s unlikely to do anything about Trump’s tariffs. It’s a niche policy that only a few economies can actually away with, India, China, USA and the EU in all likelihood.

Do you even know what MFN duty is? The data is there that USA has some of the lowest duty rates in the world. Thats is one of the bones of contention between the US and EU (specifically). https://www.wto.org/english/res_e/booksp_e/world_tariff_profiles22_e.pdf...

With spin like that, you should apply for a job at Labour HQ. No, the growth outlook was trending downwards before the US election was taking place. Reeves undermined confidence in the UK economy before the budget and after it, the employer NI raise has been criticised and coincided with job...

Have you looked at the MFN duty rates for tariffs before the Trump Tariffs? The USA, Japan and UK have some of the lowest duty rates globally. To use an example of other ‘non-tariff’ barriers, the USA has a duty-free limit on imports up to $800 (USD), whereas the the UK’s limit is £135 and the...

On Reeves, the justification for the ‘spring statement’ was the ‘changing world’ with a specific focus on the impending Trump Tariffs. It was the government used it as a pretence even they though they didn’t know what to expect exactly. Considering the government, by all accounts, think they’ve...

What is disinformation? The main targets of the tariffs; EU, Canada, China, Vietnam and so on have more tariffs on US goods. The US had one of the lowest tariff regimes globally. That is a fact.

How can you judge a policy that is 2 days old enough to call it incompetent? Rachel Reeves had to call an emergency budget to correct the cause set by autumn budget. Even then, it appears that she hasn’t accounted for the Trump Tariffs because it’s set to wipe out her ‘fiscal headroom’ so the...

Then why the faux outrage over it? 😂 It’s not just the EU in scope so the fixation on tariffs with them is strange. It doesn’t even impact us because we’re not in the EU anymore. Would you be supportive of US tariffs on Australian. NZ, Chinese, Vietnamese agricultural goods? Who also have...

It’s a stated aim, it doesn’t mean it will work. The US economy is big enough and attractive enough for businesses that it may work. It’s not a policy position that’s wise for the UK, imo. Personally, targeting the low wage, low employment rights economies like Vietnam, China, Thailand (and so...

Is generally in favour of imposing tariffs on most global markets barring Canada and the EU. There’s a clip of Nancy Pelosi from 1996 arguing for retaliatory tariffs against China resurfacing on social media too. https://www.sanders.senate.gov/press-releases/sanders-statement-on-trump-tariffs/...
