im still checking how many points off relegation we are

a City fan too long!

Yep. I do the same after every round of results. Have a look and see how many more points we need to be safe.

The pre-game stats for this game are ridiculous:

Barnsley - 6 League defeats in a row, 16 defeats and 7 draws of their last 23 visits, the last win coming in 1923, and failed to win away since mid-August.

Coventry - 6 unbeaten in the League, unbeaten at home this season.

Form and logic says we should hammer them. We are on an unbeaten run and have everything to gain by winning. But they seem to be improving slightly (from zero goals per game to one goal per game) and although they are recently winless, they have not been hammered by anyone. So I'll go for a win but narrower than most people think 2-1. Armstrong and O'Brien. Hope Cole can get one but I doubt it.

Hopefully keep another clean sheet and arma with another brace for a 2-0 win. Any sign of a defender arriving on loan?

I'm going for 2-2
I think Saturday may have taken more out of us than we realise, and we may be complacent.
Will be disappointed if we don't win but not too downhearted as it's a free game for us.
If we have to have a below par result would rather have it in this game than on a full programme day.

It's got Barnsley win written all over it. Regression to the mean, they can't lose every game.

Is this the "game in hand" or are other teams playing? Sorry to sound vague but this bloody island is about as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike when it comes to finding stuff out from the 'real' world!

Looking at them results they've not been turned over, a positive for is usually when we come up against teams on this sort of run they sack the manager just before they play us. I think we can put the nail in the coffin of Johnson. Going for 4-1 win

I'm going 2-0 Cov, 11,344.

Question. What more do the team need to do to get the attendance up? I still find below 12,000 quite embarrassing, we should be pushing much higher.

The pesimistic cov fan of says, we should win this so will probably lose 1-0

my heart and head both says a comfortable 2-0 / 3-1

We'll win, the phone in will be full of people moaning they turned up 30 seconds before kick off and there was a queue.

History would suggest this is the kind of fixture we just don't win! I'll take a 90th minute 1-0 a la Fleetwood.

Interested to see what team TM goes with, would like to see the team that started the second half at the weekend - assume Cole will get a start in place of JOB though.

You do realise our record against Barnsley home & away in phenomenal?

We will be alright tonight.

Score first and we will win at a canter with Johnson being sacked straight after the final whistle

Potentially a decent attendance tonight then....we slip up and we've got to re-build the momentum and start again barely making that 11k attendance. We win and the attendances will only get bigger = better players = more wins = TONY MOWBRAYS PROMOTION PARTY!
