Ok, this will probably alienate everyone. I don't understand why everyone repeats the same old well-trodden arguments on almost every thread. Regulars already know each others' positions. We are a microcosm of society; the only thing we have in common is having been born in Coventry and getting hooked on the football club at a young age. Why do the more intelligent people keep replying?

And btw, I understand the entertainment value for a few weeks. But this thing has gone on for years with the same cast.

I take your point but I think it's because the more intelligent are in the minority on most subjects and feel compelled to reply to redress the balance. Or they enjoy it.

Football is passionate sport. When you have individuals whose sole aim is to cause disruption and create negativity around the club, then what do you expect?

The level of hypocrisy of some posters is almost comical as well yet they are too idiotic to realise.

I wish there were an irreverent forum to discuss art, music and books. These interest me far more than football now.

And yet stupid is as stupid does. You aren't ever going to win an argument with the stupid.

Sick Boy clearly feels that fans being underwhelmed by the club's performance and the owners' incompetence is not the reason there has been negativity around the club, clearly thinks that the fans are to blame. We heard waggott and the club getting cause and effect muddled up last week too.

It happens all the time... they just don't realize it's happened.

Haha, nice try Trench. Bet you didn't figure on page one though?

EDIT: you are right, it is depressing.

You claimed that it is better to stay in the lower leagues than win promotion under sisu. You have no place on a ccfc forum and are here to merely cause distruption.

Assume 'they enjoy it' is the key and there's nothing wrong with that. This forum has never reflected the real world. I'm looking forward to going to Rochdale and Millwall and being with City fans who will be doing nothing other than supporting the team and hoping for a good evening/day out. If others enjoy doing things like posting threads on here calling for the hatchet to be buried while insulting fellow fans (!!!) then it's a case of each unto their own. I haven't been on here for ages but just back from holiday so wanted to find out more about yesterday - might head to the pub instead!

Just go off topic.

Actually, it's why I miss old GMK. It was all on the one forum so you could bitch about Dean Gordon, or list your top five crisps - the choice was yours.

5. Roast Beef Monster Munch
4. Frazzles
3. McCoys Salt and Vinegar
2. Pickled Onion Monster Munch
1. Smiths Bacon Fries.

There are a large number who are not 'born in Coventry' who support the City. I personally am born and bred in Bedrock. Take us, Leamington, Rugby, Nuneaton etc out of the equation. and the regular supporter stats may be interesting. Read every day and post rarely. Season ticket since 1981. Probably post again in 6 months. PS What a super team performance yesterday. I believe that Vincelot will be key this season. PUSB

I love the taste of Monster Munches, but I wish they would take out whatever they put in them that makes them stick to your teeth?

See you all at Millwall. As a genuine fan, it annoys me when people stick up for the club despite criticism often being justified. If there is any justice in this world we won't succeed under sisu. It would be sickening if they get some success after how they have behaved, would totally break my heart. I just want to see them leave with nothing. Some posters have stuck up for them every single time which has been bizarre and worrying. Try to point out their obvious failures and you suddenly start to hear a lot about the council for some reason, even though they have nothing to do with the team's performance. The best day of my life as a ccfc fan was the JR verdict in may last year, had champagne that night!

He took it too far there. He's definitely another teams fan trying to wind us up. His last post is completely contradictory.

There were several posters celebrating that evening and some even saying 'up the council'. Bizarre behaviour from a fan of a football club don't you think?

No he's definitely a CCFC fan - an utter nut job but a fan

Passionately hating Sisu and wanting them to fail, for the long term benefit of the club, is not the same as being a nut job. Grendel likes to criticise anyone who finds fault with the club, however reasonable, as anti CCFC. He doesn't get that you can support a tean whilst wanting rid of the owners.

Wasn't one of your "reasonable" ideas to protest outside Tim Fishers' children's primary school?
