It doesn't make it appealing. It reminds me of hillfields shopping centre, it attracts groups of people who intimidate. My ex girlfriend got followed by 4 Eastern Europeans last year walking through gosford street in broad daylight, she phoned me and I picked her up by ball hill with 3 of my pals and they legged it. So I'm speaking from experince.

You mention a specific event about a group of people and that makes all of 'them lot' the same. Then you have the cheek to utter the phrase race card.

My dad got attacked by a white bloke with a hammer in earlsdon, should I be avoiding all those white chaps? Speaking from experience remember.
No because it was an individual dickhead. And I'm not racist.

Well said, Hill.

Still don't understand the 'foreign shops' jibe and why it is a problem. Do they deal drugs from these shops or something, or only sell to their own kind?'

Had a good look at Gosford Street today and there's lots of shops of all varieties. I wouldn't call Lickety Lick a foreign shop, or Noise Works (musical instrument shop), or Strings and Things (ditto), or Pig in the Middle, or Domino's.

Must admit, I've never heard of Fargo either, but then again, I've been out of Cov for the last 5 years. Sounds a great place though.

I just love my city, Samo, despite all its failings and I always want to help promote and support local stuff like this and Fargo is a brilliant venture. It has very much a Camden feel to the place and every shop is independent.

As do I. I find it really difficult when people separate their loyalty to the club from their loyalty to the city, for me the two are synonymous.

So you think following a woman in broad daylight is a good influence? Love how the racecard gets banded about for no reason

What has that got to do with foreign shops? I forget that white British men would never do anything like that either.

Talking of 'foreign' shops - when I travel up to the Ricoh, I usually stop at a nice Indian supermarket on the Foleshill Road to stock up on spices. Does anyone know of a decent Polish delicatessen around there (or anywhere not too far away)?

Mr Sheen has a place in Ball Hill

was in Coventry today, so headed down to Fargo.

It was very quiet (I was there at 11am on a Sunday) but it has a lot of potential.

I can imagine if a food market and some music was on, it would be a real asset to the city.

We went back again today too, after going yesterday. I just went to get my ticket for the film night.

Unbelievably, even my missus likes it there.

Today on the m25 I saw a black man driving at 80 mph. I say that we impose a ban on anyone who doesn't have pure British English skin.

Do you want someone to agree with you or are you looking for confrontation ?

What a crass post. Nothing to do with the thread. Why are you posting nonsense like that?

It's making a point in relation to some previous posts on this thread.

It was quite funny when we went to Fargo this weekend. On Saturday we took my mum, who is 85 and she really liked it there, but on the way out she looking at leaflets for other up and coming stuff happening at Fargo and was picking up a leaflet for an event on next week.

'Put that back, Mum, we don't want that one' says I.

'But it's for Pride in Coventry' says my mum. 'I have got pride in Coventry, so we ought to come.'

'No Mum,' I replied. 'It's Cov Pride, not pride in Cov. It's a gay and lesbian thing!'

She quickly stuffed the leaflet back in the holder and said 'Well there's no way on earth I'm going to that!'

Any way back to the Tread would have loved to have gone tonight but have had to spend a couple of days in Blackpool due to work so got back to late.
Me and the missus love Fargo Village, love the restaurants in Gosford Street going for a meal at Habibi's tomorrow night. Only problem is they sell that nasty Arabic food;)

Went for an Indian at the one at the top of the road once, my wife chose it. Saturday night, 8 pm. We rocked up and we were the only two in there, soon ate up and went! Can't remember the food, can remember their fridge was broken so no cold drinks
