Best January Signing (1 Viewer)

The January Transfer Window has been slammed shut. City have done some pretty good business (for once). So for this week's Cooks Question, i want to know what you feel in the best January signing. Not just from Coventry. From all teams and all leagues. I think Swansea did well to get ex Sky Blue loanee Jack Cork, and Defoe to Sunderland want bad either. Everyone has an opinion so we wanna hear yours. Get your shouts in before 11.45 Thursday and they'll be read out on the show. Sports Lounge kicks off at 10am on 98.6 Hillz FM. If you cant tune into the live show, dont worry, the show is repeated at 10am on Saturday, perfect for the trip to Preston. Thanks again for your brilliant support. Couldnt so it without you. PUSB!

Not a signing but Harry Kane contract extension best bit of business done. After that id say Ryan Bertrand signing for Southampton permanently. In terms of our business I think it's been a very good window for us, I think Turgott will prove to be the best bit of business done

Without doubt Harry Kane at Spurs as he's on fire and a bonus too for England. For us Samuel pity it's a short term loan though as he looks good and if he carries on playing well Reading will want him back.

To be honest, I'm not that bothered about other teams.

Cov-wise, Leon Clarke is probably our best bit of January business in last few years. Going back a bit further, Dann and Fox are head and shoulders above any of the other crap we've signed in Jan.

Dann/Fox for me. Back in the days when we were bigger than Walsall!

I've looked up our last 4 loans on YouTube and Luke Williams seems to stand out. Clever on the ball with a good eye for goal.

Dennis Wise for me
Debut v Derby County
Lectured by the ref on 8 seconds booked before half time
One goal one assist and all to the backdrop of Ray Winstone and I think Danny Dyer filming all in the game
A 6-1 demolition that day went on to make 13 appearances scoring 6 goals
What days what days

Back in the day when our owners appeared to have a strategy (buy, yes buy !!! up and coming young players) rather than limping from one court case to the next in the desperate hope of recovering their wasted millions !

Transfer deadline day was pretty disappointing overall. Think we did ok by the sounds of it, although more loans/temp deals don't appear to be answer long term , they should help in the short term

Oh, i remember that. Back when we spent money. Dann and Fox were fantastic signings from Walsall. These days players would leave us to go to Walsall

I have to say Spurs did well to keep him. And keeping Bertrand was crucial to Saints' season, £10M was a bit much tho

Another way of looking at it though Liam, Saints got Bertrand AND nearly £20m for Luke Shaw (I think he was high £20m's??).

Not bad when you look at it like that...

Was Cedric a January signing? Great foil for Keane for a spell.

I may be wrong.....

But some young lad called Robbie Keane did ok for us about 20 years ago.... And do you know what.... I'd take him now!!!! Top... Top player quality from day one... When he was in front of goal I was just thinking HOW I was going to celebrate the goal he was about to score.....

I thought Don Hutchison did a good job for us, showed that experience counts for a lot. Although he was already on loan, he did sign a contract in Jan.
