In my opinion Pressley is a worse manager than Andy Thorn. Sick of this shit week in week out. He simply has to go

Have never called for SP's head due to the constraints which we all know he has been working under but even I now think you are right.....he has to go. Many will say "who will come in to replace him?" and whilst that is a good question I am certain that there are Managers out there who will and would make a much better job of it. I am unable to attend many games but did go to the Notts County game and have to say that we did look like a bad pub team that day and clearly have not got any better.

There is an air of stubborness to not do things.

I am not being funny but if he changes it from the "coventry way" and we start getting results, I doubt anybody would slate him for it.

You can't do anything unless the players are here long enough .

The turnover and choice of players for the last 3 summers has been Pivotal IMO.

"Worse than Andy Thorn" - show some respect, he was a good manager. With a few years SP can prove himself.

I have to say, I'm drastically starting to lose faith. He's not worse than Andy Thorn.

Thorn wouldn't have left Nouble on the bench when we are in need of a goal at both Bristol City and Doncaster.

On both occasions every Coventry fan knew he had to change the formation.

The first half saw us play 4:5:1 with Gary Madine a Billy no mates up front alone, forlorn and clearly not enjoying life.

What on earth is attractive about this formation that also leaves midfield resembling a kids kick and rush area with too many passes short and negative.

Second half showed immediate improvement playing 4:4:2 with GM having company up front. a less congested midfield and room for the wide midfielders (wingers in old money) to attack the flanks.

SP could you please please play 4:4:2 more regularly - you know it makes sense.

This applied to last week as well - will he ever learn ??

Blame SISU all we want but there has to come a point where its the managers fault. 90 minutes without a shot on goal. Happening a little too often for my liking. The fans were singing for Nouble to come on and it then took him 20 minutes to make the change when it was obvious to everyone that Madine was struggling up top alone. Hes certainly no better than Andy Thorn.

We played 4-5-1 against both Fleetwood and Doncaster, the former one of the worst away teams who can't score and the latter one of the worst home sides. We let both just come on to us and grab a lead, leaving us chasing the game, completely clueless.

You don't win games playing in your own half ! You can only last so long tapping the ball sideways and backwards, if you don't take the game to your opposition for a decent chunk of the match you will almost always be punished at some time or other.

I thought the title was describing those at our club and not just SP.

Clueless = SP.

Stubborn = Joy.

Arrogant = Fisher.

We won a few games playing 4-5-1 so it's now the preferred formation for at least 10 games, that's the Pressley way. It was the same with 5-3-2. One win seems to mean the system works but it takes 10x the amount of losses for anything to change.

And this is what some people don't seem to understand whilst backing SP. A decent manager could win a few games using a certain method but would then change his tactics to get an advantage over his next opponents because of the way that they play. We just play one way. Try to keep the ball in midfield (which SP calls controlling a game). Managers must love playing against us. So predictable.

Exactly, a good manager adapts to players available, opposition, pitch condition etc

on the offal tonight.....

SP - "There is no point in dominating possession if you can't create chances"

BBC report that Doncaster had 52% of possession. How is that us dominating ?

To be fair we probably had the more possession when we were with 11 men.

How many current 1st team players in this squad would you keep to try to improve the group..

IMO Reda, Willis, Phillips, Haynes, OB, Fleck, Maddison, Madine.. Pugh and Jackson at a push.

Thomas, Clarke, Barton, Miller, Daniels, Swanson and Tudgay need to go or be released
Loans Returned , Allsop, Martin, Nouble, Mquoid, Hines and Pennington..

As for the Finch, Kelly Evans, Lawton, etc another year to look at does no harm.. For me too many loans, too many stale at the club and too many not improving the club or squad.. The problem is how do you get the unwanted off the books and afford improvement,, it will be hard and we should be ready for the excuses to come flying our way...

We are gong down under pressley. You have to score goals to win games and our goals per game scored is worryingly bad

Please if we are going to rely on Nouble we really are fucked.

Sorry but he hasn't got what we need.

Formation and tactics don't win games though do they generally.................good players win games, especially those suitable for the division and devoted to the cause.

Hahahaha Thorn was the worst maanger in the club's history. He received full backing from the majority of this forum- says it all really. Haha.

If it wasn't for their blind loyalty to their hero then maybe he'd have fucked off sooner and we could have actually stayed up. I'm also surprised that those on here didn't praise sisu for daring to pick such an innovative and ground breaking manager.

Maybe with two midfield suspensions his hand will be forced and he will go back to 4 in midfield tomorrow. We've got to be more attacking and direct, and I don't mean Bothroyd direct.

something has to change and if that is the manager then so be it. I am just not sure who is an adequate replacement but I suppose the main thing is if you are going to change you need to do it now and allow the new manager to bring in his own team in Jan with the 20 quid they give him. Sadly I think buying out SP contract would mean the end of any transfer kitty.

Doesnt matter who comes in as they wont be given any money to spend.

You don't need money to spend in this league! You need to be consistent, hard to beat and work For it. It's very clear the players are not playing for Pressley and just going through the motions
