What do people expect?
We have been the worst run club in the country for 15yrs or so now. A manager who isn't the best by any stretch but doing his best with what he has. A team full of players that are either not good enough, on loan or 12 month contract which is effectively loan anyway.
How many managers have we had since relegation from the premiership, they cant all be rubbish.

Similar to the dross surrounding Thorn- look how Robins transformed the team.

Before day we had lost 1 game in 6 - let's keep a sense of perspective. Yes we are 19th but there are extenuating circumstances that defend SP. We have got a low budget which explains poor signings. The low budget is partyly due to FFP and the owners' folly in Northampton meaning we can't pump more into the squad - at least that would be Timmy's excuse.

There are no extenuating circumstances. The battle for 6th spot includes the likes of Rochdale and Notts County. Our main signings this season can't even get in the team.

Pressley is rapidly becoming Andy Thorn with an IQ. Sack him now.

Typical spite and personal vitriol from Grendel. As it happens I agree in part but my heart says that we sack managers so often it must be worth giving SP a few more years just to see if he can do better.

Years!!!!! Please god NO. Sorry chief whilst I agree with the sacking to many managers this clown has had more than enough time we're getting worse and worse. The last person in the world of football I would trust with any kind of budget is him, he has to go.

On what basis should he be given an extra couple of days let alone years?

A few years are you crazy the extra few months he has had since Worcester could be enough to relegate us. The problem here is sisu are happy to let what's happening on the field happen because they are to busy focusing on their stupid court case. When a manager who has signed 6 strikers since July comes out and says he needs more striking options it's time to sack him for incompetence and that's without mentioning his awful tactics his lies and the fact he forced baker out and now moans we have no goals in what he calls a midfield though it plays closer to been a defence

He has got a 4 year contract, given as the club think he has got the ability to see the club to success during that timeframe - not less. For once in our miserable history, let's let him see it out.

You have to be trolling at this stage these were the same people who thought moving the club to northampton would see sell outs most weeks

On the basis that this poster once said Andy Thorn was the best manager we have had since Jimmy Hill and we should appoint him now either as director of football or to replace Pressley.

don't forget it's the fans fault for not paying good money to watch shit:)
Just wait for these:

"Who would come here"
"His hands are tied"
"This is what happens when you dont get money to buy players"
"He hasn't been able to sign anybody"

Yep, it's as if he hasn't been given a strong squad of players to manage.

I'm talking about the enviroment of the club not names in a squad list. This is not an enviroment that promotes success. The club is toxic from top to bottom. Including us fans.

You would have thought a ten point penalty and moving 35 miles playing in front of record low crowds ejtkd have been more toxic surely.

Exactly. There's a reason why this club hasn't a realistic chance of playoffs for many years & anyone who thinks sacking SP will change that is living in a dream world.

Not as Toxic as coming back and finding out the the clubs owners have fucked of the fan base so much that they've abandoned their club.

Are you seriously suggesting that SP and his squad don't realise what a Toxic car crash the club has become? Think of BL in the 70's and how toxic that was from top to bottom and how it reflected in the product they turned out.

This club is rotten to its core, top to the bottom it needs change,, all main decision go back to one dept(owners),, the contracts given out and the way players extension are handled are poor.. The player recruitment is laughable and any plans that are on show are complete lies or fabrication to keep a few rolling up at a game day so they can carry on this stupid game they play..

Sisu don't care, they can carry on running this circus, while fans are either getting angry, fighting each other or slowly walking away finding better things to do, than watch a rudderless ship float around while taking in water....They signed a man with a poor record on a 4 year deal in a business where 80% of managers don't even last that long with 1 club... I'm all for stability and a fair chance ,, but really 4 years, he is going to have to keep working at getting the sack because these will not pay any compo or admit mistakes in any way, shape or form..

SP has to take the blame for performances and team selection, SW has to take the blame for recruitment and contracts, Sisu have to take blame for game day experience and the product they are selling... At the minute all are failing and all don't want to admit it,, all will carry on taking money and reacting when they need to without care or accountability for any actions taken,,while the fans come on here rip each other and any player they can to release frustration of where this club is going...

Its so sad, that more energy is not spent to find a common goal in changing the owners, because that is really the only change that will mean change,, SP goes the puppeteer still controls the strings.. And SW, TF and JS can go to court as much as they want because sooner or later they will find another fall guy to blame the mess on,, CCC, Alan Higgs, Wasps , The FL,, fans,, the judge!!! i mean come fellas some do have blame but none hold the key or are the route cause of this mess.. Today is a one result, but its the future that worries me,, stagnate at best going backwards at worst..

Needs change and a change that never allows this club never to be in its current position ever again ,, on and off the field..

Are our crowds massively down from the last season at the Ricoh?

More significantly I would think its still in the top 6 supported clubs in the league.

Players are not like employees. They have no affinity to clubs and just come and go on short term contracts.

Pressley is underachieving and needs to go.

That contributed to where we are now.

They have spent nothing on
players, a ground, even in the club shop.

All the bullshit they come out with and some still can't see past they shit they have caused they should fuck off now before they have completely fucked up our club.

I do fear that it maybe too late already.

Correct but the same can be said of our owners.

They aren't going anywhere though are they so as a fan you look at the manager and ask -- is he performing well enough.

The squad is not an automatic promotion or definitely play off contenders. Then you look and see we are being out performed by the likes of Rochdale and that suggests on the pitch we are not performing.

Our crowds are considerably down from when SISU rocked up. This is measure of the environment they have created.

Thats a reflection of the league, not a SISU success story. The fact that we are in this league is a measure of the environment they have created.

Again, Thats a reflection of football. not a SISU success story.

SP probably has come to the end of his reign but it will be no different for the next guy. This is measure of the environment they have created. SISU need to go. I'd say we're stuck in a loop with them but we're not, we are going places. Sadly down.

Misled you are 4 year contract to see out the break even years whilst sisu pick up £3.5 million management fees every year.

Why do not some actually get it sisu are not interested in CCFC as long as it don,t cost them anything,

Nice earner for sisu

No one is saying anything is a sisu success story - that is irrelevant - Pressley is failing as a manager. I am listening to 5 Live and fans are saying Martinez should be sacked as Everton manager. May sound extreme but they are not winning. We are not winning - time to go.

Short term we need survival. We have been here before with thorn and the same argument. The absurd acceptance of a failure contributed to relegation.

History must not repeat itself.

You can replace managers not owners.

But will it make that much of a difference or will we be saying the same things again at the end of the season?

New manager will get us a couple of wins that's normal after that we will just be hearing the same excuses week after week.

Maybe we should get Robbins back he can then say he has Sky Blue Blood and fuck off again when the calling comes.
