Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but does anyone know when the tickets for the Gillingham game will be on sale and where from? Ta.

According to the Cov twitter reply last night to me, they are hoping to have them on sale "by the end of the week".Will be from the shop in Gallagher

Just been in the shop, they are only doing ST transfers at the moment, advising that tickets for the Gillingham game should be on sale perhaps Thursday or Friday. TBH the staff don't really seem to know what is going on :eek:

The cheapest ticket was cheaper but most expensive wasn't.

It's about the going rate in this league. I suppose they can only budget on the basis of 10k or less crowds.

Well, as we used to sit in the CET Stand and that is now not an option to us, we will have to start again from scratch.

wasn't there one season where the ticket price was £18 or something? Am tempted to repeat some old rhetoric about League 1 average etc in relation to ticket prices but hey we are back at the Ricoh which was never L1 average in the first place.

Interesting that the ticket for MK Dons was £20 for away supporters. Don't think the club have done the majority of fans many favours in the pricing to be honest. But that's the clubs choice and most fans will swallow it especially if a bit of success comes with it.

This 60p in the £ thing ............. on a £24 ticket it is £60% of £20 (max) because VAT has to be accounted for...... and the 60% sets a limit for SCMP it is not necessarily given to SP. The other incomes such as F&B have direct costs (ie goods supply and direct wages) deducted from the turnover figure before the 60% is applied. So the 60p in every £ goes to SP statement is far from accurate

The important things right now however are we are back where we belong ...... and being there on the 5th & onwards

I do think the club could do much better regarding prices.
Plenty of us who had season tickets & bought them before the early bird deadline ran out have now seen our price go up.

Remember, its not about attracting the hardcore supporter back, he'll come anyway. Its the undecided supporter & the ones who gave up before the move away that needs encouraging back.
For me there has been nothing in this so far that could encourage them back. It will be interesting to see what the attendances are like once the dust has settled and we get into December/January assuming we are not in or close to a promotion spot.

Why not assume we are in or close to? Just as interesting but a happier feeling, why always the negative side? Eventually there will be light!

Fair point, wasn't being negative though. I would love to think we are pushing for an automatic spot but if we are I would expect the attendances to be around 18/20000 so more people would pay those prices.
I made that point so if we are floating around mid-table it would then be a better comparison as to how wrong or right the club have got the pricing structure

Surley lower ticket price would increase gate and atmosphere that they seem so bothered about.i really think they have missed a trick with this.this could of been a building block of repair to the fans by charging 15 quid for standard zone.24 is just greedy think attendances would of remained high with lower ticket price.but now i fear they will drop to lower than our previous ricoh tenure.glad were back but just think they have missed a good chance to win back some fans

Its well below average pricing in the league so how is that greedy?

From a point of view that the club need to get back the fans,who have had there club taken away from them by owners who say they can cover any losses the club make. So by my rekoning if they were coverng losses at northampton surely they can sort some priceing thats affordable for all and still make abit so more people will go and watch the team and support our club.

It's pretty much as cheap as any other club in the league. It's very affordable to those who want to go.

I think you make a good point. Could be the difference that means extra games than planned to some.

Wouldn't any clubs fans be happy with matchday admission charges similar to clubs below the conference premier?

So its nothing to do with being in Northampton then its just some can't afford it?

I was responding to this or when he said taken away did he mean something else? Seems you now want tickets given away to be bothered to attend.

I think the tickets are reasonable. Personally, including travel from and to Bournemouth, I can afford it.

But I see why many people can not afford to take their whole family. 1 adult plus 2/3 kids and some food and drink, can easily be over a £100. Something many can't do every other week. I'm pleased to see though, the club offering good JSB and junior prices, so that's helping IMO.

They're good value, but not that cheap. Think we're getting a bit carried away.

All people are saying is that it might have been a good idea, given the circumstances, to have made a bit of a gesture. There is no facility to pay monthly (which for many makes it difficult) and we are two games into the season already and are starting from a ST base of practically zero. Perhaps it might have been a good idea to have tried to maximise numbers given the recent history. That's a reasonable view to take I think.

That said, I will happily be buying my ST in block 10 tomorrow (I won't miss block 16 one bit).
