The only people who said "spend spend spend" were the the Telegraph headline writers.

Of course Its not confirmed ,but It leaked out before official last year that they were all taking cuts and losing bonuses ,so there may be some weight to It .Whats odder about this Is that about six weeks ago ,Mr Pressley, after meeting JS In London, came back with the Media proclaiming "Spend Spend Spend". what does'nt add up is that It would only save around £200K. per an . I can't see that breaking the Camels back In any way If these serious backers have the where with all that they say they have .

I hope it is true. Not good for the players but the FL will see that SISUE have been untruthful to them.

Ah, but who cares about the players eh? As long as it gives you more ammunition on an internet forum.

Ammunition?

Anything can be twisted to look good in your thoughts. We are used to reading them. But SISUE have given the FL a guarantee that they will fund all losses and have the finances to pay for a new stadium. If it is true the players can refuse the new contracts. If it is forced on them they become free agents if they want. So couldn't see it going this way.

Also, if it is true it would show that being in Northampton and NOPM is working. The total opposite of what you have been ranting on about. It could show discontent amongst their investors. Timothy has also recently been mentioning that a long term rental agreement could happen. This is a massive change from even very recently where the boat has sailed and they would never come back unless they have the freehold. Also it would show the FL that all is not well with what was promised. This would cost SISUE 1.5m IIRC.

As I said ammunition? More like making the possibility of our club coming home more of a reality. Not ammunition for yourself to have a go at people.

Absolute scaremongering without a shred of evidence.

I'll never cease to be amazed as to just how low some will stoop to slag SISU off.

You mean there's no point making stuff up when SISU are just utterly stupid anyway?

Ahhh, yes who cares about the players, most of our players are on more money than most people on this forum will ever see in their lives. Rumours are rumours, didn't the move away from Coventry start off as a whisper. I am sure this RUMOUR has no truth in it but I am sure anybody with eyes could see that it is the sort of thing Sisu/Otium could do as their loses are a lot greater than expected down at Sixfields.

True. I'm not looking forward to us playing our home games in Walsall, are you?

Wow...there's more unsubstantiated rumour & gossip on here than at Tupperware party for the Leicester Ladies Liars club....

Whats the playing staffs wage bill these days.....Around £2million tops I would guess.....

10% = £200K.

That won't even pay matchday costs for a season....whether at Sixfields, the Ricoh or a fantasy stadium in a yet to be confirmed location....

What a lot of bollocks!

I'm saying that was the rumour if you remember. We were definitely playing in Walsall as sources from inside CCFC had leaked it.

I wouldn't have been looking forward to it either if they had of said yes, or are you saying that they didn't ask them ?

Matchday costs?

At the Ricoh the costs are counted as the rent and at Northampton they do not exist. Ask Timothy.

either way....10% of our squads wage bill is simply "chicken feed" as Boris Johnson would call it......hence the title of this thread is utter bullshit.

Yes you're right, that was the rumour. It would have been so until Walsall got cold feet. Didn't change the fact that the rumour was that we were moving out of Coventry.

Propaganda war….. both sides. Expect more rumours and inuendos…. Evidence? According to Labovitch the stadium is carrying the debt, so if you follow that line, it doesn't matter what the players earn. More important is the rent from people who will use the stadium - err the anchor tenant perhaps? Being as the stadium won't be finished for around 5 years, these players won't be effected. The stadium is, of course, only a theoretical proposition. The biggest hurdle being the financing of the project. Up until now ARVO are financing because they are controlled by Joy, but even SISU admit they need some equity from somewhere else. How long before ARVO Investors get wind of this risky project, partly based on the assumption that the anchor tenant will still be in the football league when the stadium is completed? So until the money is there, forget the stadium. Any proof of finance given to the league can only be based on ARVO's funds and is now out of date ( plus SISU are still looking for outside equity according to Tim ).

So you know how good or bad the finances are at SISUE?

What we do know is that their income is well below what Timothy thought it would be. The vast majority have not done as he thought we would. We also know that they needed to find the money to build this stadium. So they will have to find even more now. And will have to keep finding it until all this sort of crap is done with. Yet 200k is chickenfeed? It is about 50% of our income for playing in Northampton.

If 200k is just chickenfeed why don't they let everyone in for free at Northampton? If 200k is chickenfeed then 400k isn't much more. They would then get the gates they thought they would before this all started and might even get a few more standing up for them whatever they do to our club.

According to sources within the Club, it would seem the Players have been asked to consider an across the board wage cut of 10%, not sure how this will be received given the transfer window opens shortly, and flies in the face of talk of a new stadium. Some New Year looms for the players and our beloved club, I wonder if Fisher, Labovitch and Waggott will take a pay cut, some how I doubt it.

If Fisher and Labovitch take a salary at all it would be criminal. Those two shouldn't be paid in used matchsticks!!

200K is chicken feed in the context of "financing a new stadium".....surely even you can see that?

Hence why I state the title of this thread is utter bullshit.....jesus, some people on here are hard work!

I can't believe you are sticking with the title of a thread and not taking it off on a tangent for once......or is it helping your side of the debate :D

As I said 200k will be about half of their income for the season because they put us in Northampton. This is before rent, players wages, the alledged matchday costs and everything else they will have to pay. But as I also said that as it is about half a years income it isn't chickenfeed. Yes it is if you compare it to the cost of building a stadium that hardly anyone believes will be built though. It would come to 1m after 5 years. If the stadium was to cost 20m it would equate to only 5% of the cost of the build.

Yes, but if enforced it is breach of contract and they then walk away for nothing.... great idea (not) and no fault of the players the club have no income from Sixfields including gate receipts.
