Just tweeted good luck to my team mates at Huddersfield, didn't know if he meant he has signed for team or if one of our teams are playing Huddersfield today ?

Disgusting the way he has been treated -okay his form of late was not great but you have to look at what he done overall in his two spells-does not deserve to be treated with such disrespect -never seen anyone come down so fast from being a hero to zero - hope he sorts himself out and proves a point to club and fans alike

Yer I don't rate him much anymore but sheffers is like 6th on our all time appearance list. I think he deserves to be treated slightly better than this even if he isn't really in Presleys plans

Actually just thought I would check and he isn't 6th. He's not even top ten. But he's still played over 200 games for us and has scored the same amount if goals for us as dion did.

The best player for the time I've been watching the city, should be held as one of our modern day legends for his first spell, and some of his 2nd spell I mean it was only last season he had a shocker in my opinion, but yeah should be treated better than he has been

He has been told to leave and told he is not allowed to train with the 1st team squad. It's hardly a big deal. I think the very fact he makes such comments shows that potentially he might not be the best person to have around the dressing room in our current situation. People before him have been lambasted for sitting on the sidelines and taking the money......

Sorry but since the Prem was invented WE are the bigger club, remind me where Birmingham was between 1986 and 2002? whilst we stayed in the top flight from 1967-2001,

The word 'arguably' is a clue.
But, no doubt they have a large fan base and at the time, looked a better proposition than where we were heading. My point was that and the fact that he was going to at least quadruple his wages. To say he was 'forced' to leave is bollocks.

I can't help but feel that some of those shouting out about the disrespect he has been shown are the same people that would've been spotting him down the Oak having a fag and slamming his performances.
Every time I've met Gary he has been a gent, especially with my daughter, but now is the time to move on. He's been a good servant for the club, created and scored a lot of goals but he wasn't pulling his weight on the pitch last season, was clearly unfit and it appears Pressley wants to out that culture (as did Robins) and after Thorn's Boys Club, it was needed. Whilst I don't agree with Pressleys methods, the sentiment is desperately what we have required.

I liked McSheffrey - especially the season we had Dennis Wise. They had a really good partnership. Last season he just wasn't good enough though. He was in the side that went out the Premiership, he was in the side who went down to Division One; as a self confessed lifelong fan he owed us more.
Not going to be too harsh though because when he went to Blues I was one of the fans campaigning for them to get him back, and I do feel that he was a better striker despite being played in midfield all the time. I just thank him for his time and effort and hope he doesn't leave with any bad blood.

Sheeesh some harsh posts on here, totally agree McSheff had a nightmare season last year and it's time for him to move on but he gave plenty to ccfc in the past to warrant less bitterness towards him and as for his move to BCFC does anybody really believe he asked for that move, even if he did who can blame him we all go to work for one thing, money and a footballer is no different. Think Pressley has got it wrong with his bomb squad as these players might be needed in our current financial situation so this" we don't need these players" attitude is very short sighted imho.

Jeez this thread is a mong fest. If you want players to want to fight for the cause do you slag them off? He's one of us for fooks sake just like Greg Abbott, they've both lived the dream. Bet he really felt the love last year which probably contributed to his stellar performances.

Yes Robins did want to oust that culture, but surely he would have played McSheffrey less if he thought his attitude was a problem? Robins himself said McSheffrey has more to his game than he ever did as a player. McSheffrey was a regular under Robins.
I suspect it is more a case of Pressley (as a former defender) not having as much idea about who offers more in attack as Robins (a former striker). Likewise, Robins persisted with Edjenguele and Cameron, and it wasn't until he went that Aaron Martin came through the door - again, although signed by Carsley, Pressley was impressed enough to want to sign him permanently.
