Always on the cards but I wonder how he will do next season with a good run of games.

I reckon at least 15 if played all of the time.

Harshly treated, but in the wrong team.

Speaking to Gills fans on the train home Saturday and all of them said he was superb with a target man.

Not the wrong team, but the wrong division.

Think Gillingham will find a different McDonald in League One from what they've been used to In League Two.

If McDonald's first name was Roy or Joe would anyone care?

Waste of space, waste of money.

Good player with pace, him and Clarke would have caused havoc up front as a partnership, but I guess we will keep playing the 1 up top and make it easy for the opposition

Cody is on his way back to Gillingham.

For a day out?
Clearing his digs?
Got a job as his alter ego Ronald Mcdonald through the summer there?
Moving to the football club?

So many possibilities are any true?

Another rumour, with currently no substance.

Opponents certainly had it easy with McG and Clarke upfront on their own didn't they!?

... Like Bayern Munich, Man U, Man City, Dortmund, AC Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool (as in Sturridge or Suarez, when both play, Suarez is CAM!), Spurs, Arsenal, Spain, France, Germany give their opponents an easy time by playing 1 striker? :thinking about:

Stupid, I'll-informed comment... Without mentioning Cody!

You often find them playing at yeovil away with a transfer budget of nil and a pitch where the ball wont roll 5 yards though?

Did he say anything about playing away to Yeovil?

He said playing 1 striker makes it easy for the opposition, which is simply untrue as playing 1 striker IS The way forward now.

I think you'll find we've generally done better playing 4-5-1 this season.

Only works with right blend of players which we currently don't have.

It does make it easy when playing long ball to a lone striker when its against 2 brutes who will win headers all day!

It all depends on the players and conditions I think, it is like saying we should play the barca style / formation because it works for them with our xavi as jennings and messi as mcsheffrey!

I hope pressley does get a player up front and make his system work, I just want to win!

If you want goals in a team either yor manager needs to be a former Striker or a forwards coach needs to be on the staff IMO.

Some sympathy with comment - if all teams play 4-5-1 surely the maths dictate a congested midfield, 1 sole striker against two hulking centre backs and will only succeed if you have equivalent attacking/goal scoring midfielders (in our league) like Lampard and Gerrard in the Prem.

I don't think our league produces theses sort of players so I would go for 4-4-2 and not leave all goal scoring responsibility to just one up front individual.

Oh yes and this really makes sense as we have top players supporting our front man. Our midfield sits 30 yards behind the striker, so if you haven't got the players to support than you have to have a plan B which we don't, we are best when we attack the opposition not defend.

Comparing us to such teams is bordering ridiculous, those teams have world class players who could actually play in any position on the pitch.
