First win in X years (1 Viewer)

How boring is that stat that Sky keep pushing?

Will they do it for every little feat? First goal at Tottenham's new ground since CCFC formed

Defo...I was thinking the same thing.

It's getting boring...not just them, most media outlets...

First EPL win in 25 years
First EPL away win in 25 years
First EPL home win in 25 years
First EPL goal in 25 years
First EPL clean sheet in 25 years

We get it...we're doing a lot of things we've not done for 25 years as we've not been in the EPL. Get over it already.

Yeah I hope it doesn’t go beyond last night. I don’t recall them doing this for other promoted clubs.

Was like that that other stat doing the rounds, first team to lose their first 4 then win their next 2 since Derby in the year fuck knows, just pointless drivel

The year was eighteen ninety nine.

Which coincidentally was the price I paid for a lovely Gabicci pullover from Paul Kerry's in 1987, the year we won the FA cup and finished tenth.

Pointless drivel or omen?

I don't know, just asking the question.

I actually bought some Gabicci knitwear 2 weeks ago, Wembley here we come!

I think its just commentators looking for stats for the sake of it.

Hopefully it's all done now.

Hopefully next week it will be the first time we've won 3 consecutive PL games since ..... any stattos out there?

Edit: found it.

Feb 98 when we'd won 5 in a row (6 in 7). Villa the only loss in the last 16 games of the season but 8 draws in that (including 6 in last 8) cost us European qualification.

Last goal keeper to score for Coventry in the premier league and last player to score with a header. Stats to come😄

Fuck me always something to moan about isn't there?

It's not moaning, it's just an annoyance really.

Its consistently pointing out the obvious..."Coventry haven't done this in the EPL for 25 years...."

No shit sherlock.

Its not just City related, its every game. The most meaningless, contrived stats dredge up from nowhere.

Stunning your toe is annoying. This isn't even something that registers for me personally. I literally sent messages to ppl saying nice to witness my first cov goal live in premier league for 25 years. It's just a moment to acknowledge and then move on.

I genuinely do enjoy some of the more obscure ones, probably because I look back on the old Premier League years with more fondness now having gone through the Sisu era and League Two experience.

I'm sure it will all be forgotten about soon, though, and we won't be such a novelty.

Each to their own I guess.

First batch consumed in Sky Sports studios.
First time all 3 promoted teams stay up.
First time Spurs and Villa drop together.

Records are there to be broken.😁

It would be better if they had some more meaningful stats, such as:
"player xxxx, first Coventry Premier League Player to father seven kids by seven mothers in the Premier League since Peter Ndlovu', or
'Frank Lampard, first Premier league manager at Coventry since Gordon Strachan to force a school bus to stop and board it, then have a rant at some unruly teenagers' or
"Norman Bassette, first Coventry City Premier League player in over a quarter of a century to sever his achilles tendon after having a row with a Leamington Spa retail shop front window since Noel Whelan"
or
"xxxx, first Coventry City player since Mick Quinn to be found guilty of cruelty to race horses in over quarter of a century"

No one gives a f!ck about on field stats

Hate the PL referenced stats. Like top flight pre-92 football meant nothing.

Now some proper stats that I am waiting to unleash on you all when the time comes (although I'm ruining the surprise here) are:

We are 5 home wins away from 300 top flight home wins.
We are 23 home goals away from 1,000 top flight home goals.
