Of course you don’t want players to be happy not playing but you’re part of a team so if you can’t celebrate or even look happy when you win a massive game for your team it’s not a great sign in my book. Could understand it more if he’d watched a shit team struggle and still not get on.

Lampard obviously wasn’t best pleased with a couple of players attitude from interview either.

Anyway, hopefully just nothing and he now knows what’s needed to be part of the team as he’s got the ability to be starting for us.

I'd be surprised if we had done all our work on him over months and months and not looked at his personality.

I dont think its "not a great sign" I think its nothing really

Yeah, I hope so. I’d not seen the reactions and only going off what I’ve heard elsewhere but there’s no doubt Lampard was making a point in his interview. These are young lads at the end of the day so doubt it’s a major issue

Whether i'm the more chilled version of me or the slowly losing it version i've always been a give new players a chance guy. If i think someone is shit after 6 months or so of watching them then i'll freely say so but everyone needs a chance to settle.

It's fine to feel frustrated, just got to use that frustration and channel it into training and winning a place.

Yeah, just reminding myself of our bench last night and I guess he might’ve been in there ahead of Tats but there should be no guarantees of who makes the cut.
Although if reports are to be believed I suspect Tchouana might be ahead of Gboho against spurs…

Has Eccles made a squad yet? Also there’s KKH & Woolfenden missing from that.

You've got Wright and Awoniyi to come back into it as well and Amenda further down the line. Good competition for players to see who makes the squad, let alone the starting line up.

Woolf will be gone as soon as he's fit. KKH still in with a shout.

Feel for Eccles, he's lost that bench spot to Torp which I don't disagree with but I do.miss his energy. Yrenikyi, Grimes, Onyeka, Rudoni is an awful lot of talent to displace.

Forget about those 3! Bound to be a few disgruntled players at times. There probably was last season too but if we’re always winning they can’t really say much.

Yeah, I’ve got a soft spot for Eccles too. I guess may get a chance from the bench at some stage. If for no other reason as he can cover a few positions.

I’m especially liking that (so far and for the most part) our players from last season have given good accounts of themselves.

To be fair he did say "lads" plural and there was a definite barbed edge to the comment.

Gboho definitely dodged the fans at the end

I’ve listened to what Lampard has said now. As usual some have taken it out of context.

He is as saying it’s a squad game and people on the bench have to realise if they’re not starting, how can they impact the game even for 20mins. Basically the newer players need to understand that.

He said this type of thing last year in our promotion campaign.

Honestly let’s not make this into sometime more than it needs to be.

Heard he had a little huff at the end going down the tunnel - this was mentioned by a called on CWR after the match. Then Lampard alluded to squad members having to be part of the success even when not playing etc, in his Sky interview.

Dont like hearing stuff like that, this is going to need a squad effort.
