Ah must have been the year before then that Brentford spotted and tried to sign him makes sense. Chelsea just did a Chelsea

Deadline day signing if anything. As the posters above said no chance we'll be covering his whole wage.

My guess is no one will want to pay that much for him and he goes to Strasbourg till Jan.

I thought I read somewhere that Strasbourg had taken all the loans they could already?
 
It feels like we are the move of last resort for MM. hard to plan on that basis as we really need a EMC back up that is not BTA.

Not sure that is correct.

If we are still trying to get him it must be because the player has indicated he would come. A bigger issue is likely to be what % of his wages we cover and whether there is any loan fee.

Meant more from Chelsea perspective. Can imagine we have said we will cover 50k per week max and they are looking for better offer. total guess work obviously.
 
I'd imagine it's not totally about wages, Chelsea want him in the shop window so it's guaranteed game time that he needs.

I think we could offer that, he'll need time to get up to speed. Start him then bring EMC on
 
Is this still a possibility or are we done for? LW is glaringly short of candidates for starters / backups. EMC is alone and always injured leaving us bereft

Sounds like we are done.

Also, dont forget how King has been happy to leave lampard short after previous windows where we had glaring gaps in the team. Its not like this is unexpected.

Not always injured but could do with back up
 
Now this olis the kind of signing that could kick start us. This is a risk we have to take.
 
We were probably a real option for Mudryk before the season started but would he really want to be involved in a dog scrap for points at the bottom of the league?

I think this is genuine issue for us now.

Importantly we got the vast of our business done before the season started.
 
Losing at home to Hull really isn't a good look if we were planning to convince a big name or 2 in the last couple of days. Meanwhile Hull sit on 6 points from 2 games and suddenly look a much less laughable proposition to some of the players they were chasing.

I wasn’t expecting anything else - I didn’t say I was. Mudryk himself may have been waiting to see how we started though..Why is nearly every conversation someone trying to one up the other on here lately. Absolutely painful on here at the moment 🤣

If he wants game time he may see himself getting a guaranteed start rather than being in a competition for a shirt. Or getting the credit for improving us which would be good on his CV going forward. It’s not like we were not in the game or competitive against Hull. Just lacked a bit of composure and quality in the final third.

I think professional footballers at the elite level realize nothing is won or lost after two games, and if it means he gets regular game time, which is what both player and parent club want, and also what he’ll get with us, it means we’re probably a more attractive option for him, especially since the player wants to play week in week out in the prem.
 
I can't see that Chelsea are in that strong a position that they can demand loan fees or substantial wage contributions..
They need him to be playing and he's too much of a high risk/ high reward gamble for many clubs
 
I feel like if Chelsea's owners want him at Strasbourg, he ends up at Strasbourg.

Can see the "you either play at Strasbourg or you don't play at all" ultimatum being given
 
Cant see it tbh, not a signing a club like us makes unfortunately
