Arsenal tickets (3 Viewers)

Had one reserved before 12 but rejected when trying to complete transaction, thought I had bagged one of the 70

I’m 1400 and tried to go into the purchase option before 12:00 and it errored giving a permissions message.

Gone gone gone ! Can we think about the next match now please CCFC.

No, I disagree. The Club needs to explain how it sold out before 12:00 which is impossible with the category numbers they supplied earlier in the week.

Otherwise people will have no faith in the system and will start to believe that the Club is still allowing certain groups to have privileges they claimed had been withdrawn.

This isnt even a new ground for most of us so suspect they'll all be hoovered up in first allocation this season.

The left over tickets may have gone to players family/club staff 🤷‍♂️

So your basis that there was no tickets sold after midday was that tweet was sent fast?

You don't think the club would preempt that the hand full of remaining tickets would sell out immediately given we just sold close to 3k in the first window?

Okay you've won me over.

Not sure why you're being arsey,. I think the announcement on another platform was before midday. At precisely midday the option to buy tickets in the 1400 didn't even appear. Not even the no tickets found message you get when allocations have recently sold out, the window never appeared. I don't need to win you over, it's evident they never released any. It's fine btw, they sold out. Even if this '70 odd tickets' people calculated with their fag packet maths did exist, it would have been difficult to get one anyway.

I'm not convinced there compl

I think them 70 odd tickets will be sold in one go tomorrow along with any not taken up by winners of the ballot

People could well have purchased tickets for the two friendlies which pushed their total up by 20 and they went onto 1500 or above. I don’t think there’s a great conspiracy here, there would have been a handful of tickets left and circa 760 people trying to get them in the 1400 tier.

Not impossible, as it was still possible to get points after the numbers were supplied. If you were on 1480 / 1490, you would probably have been tempted to get Espanyol and Monaco tickets to bump you up. Bit of an oversight by the club if that has happened, but away tickets aren't normally on sale when the next ones are announced

Edit: @Earlsdon-Loyal-Blue beat me to it!

Just managed to secure some from our other accounts that are 1400, not sure how many left.

The 300 in the ballot come out of the same pool as the points holders. So they couldn't open the 1400+ window without the ballot holders potentially losing their allocation. Obviously this can be remedied in the future by only giving them guaranteed access in the first 2 hour window rather than 24 hours.
I don't know whether this means any tickets will become available to 1400+ after their window to buy shuts tomorrow

Away ballot peeps had time before 10am sale for 1500+ folks and not after (or during) they had first dibs.

What people aren’t factoring in is the amount of fans who bought away and ‘normal’ membership for 100 points that would’ve taken them into the 1500 bracket from the 1400.

So that accounts for the 10am sellout before 1400+.

Like others have said doubt any away tickets will go to fans on less than 1500 unless they win ballot.

I suspect you're right. Although, if you were under the illusion that at 1500+ you were guaranteed one up until midday and logged on at 11.55 to find they were all gone, you'd be a bit miffed, but not seen anyone say that tbf. I suspect they might start at 1600 for Man CIty.

There was at most 70 tickets left even if they club hasn't given tickets to players friends and family, club staff and sponsors which they and all clubs do all the time.

Was it the FA cup semi that they held so many tickets back for friends and family a whole block of prime almost behind the goal tickets only wnet on sale a few days or so before the game?

How many do Man City give out?

id have had a shot in the 1400+ bracket if there wasn’t a ballot.

Thanks Doug you money grabbing c**t.
And this is why the ballot doesn't and never has sat right with me - I don't like the fact someone who has passed up plenty of opportunities to go to away games in the past can be fast tracked to the front of the queue over someone on 1400 points who, despite not attending religiously has invested far more time and effort into the club

Say that however and the newcomers sneer at you and call you a 'Super fan' who wants to keep away games a closed shop

End of the day, there will be no need for a ballot system next season if we are relegated and that says all you need to know about it for me

The ballot is fine, it's a chance for new people to start building up points.

Will help the atmosphere as last season and a bit before that it has been pretty rubbish away and some new younger blood may help this ;)

Totally agree.

It was funny the first couple of attempts. Not so much now.
In your opinion. If it's only triggering you then it's worthwhile.

Had a response from ticket office saying none would be released, was always opening up for ballot members at that time.

They had their chance to build up their tally and passed it up - The current 3 year rolling period began in 2023/24 where season tickets, and even half season tickets were available to anyone who wanted one and pretty much all the away games were going to general sale

Trust me when I say nobody is calling you a superfan with 1400 points. Also, if there was no ballot and the rules hadn't changed, then a similar number went to SG's so you still wouldn't have got one.

Happy to help.

So what happens if I 17 year old kid attending away games but their dad doesn't go to these games?

When they announced the ballot details saying that anyone on 1500+ was guaranteed a ticket there were 70 points worth still on sale (membership + 2x friendlies)

I’m sure there are a decent number of people who were in the 1400s that may have bought friendly tickets or a membership to bump them into 1500 and secure a ticket.

Might literally have been a handful available to 1400s, the numbers were very close.

You're right, it's a combination of both factors here. A guy near me at the game on Sat said he bought a membership to move into the 1500 category, so did think this was a possibility on a wider scale.
Since my earlier message, I've read the sold out article on the site & it does suggest the possibility of the ticket sales opening back up post ballot window. Not trying to build up hope for those on 1400+. I do feel bad for those in that bracket, as it is the hope that makes a situation like this worse to take.
The club will learn from this and I am sure Man City will open up on 1600+ & should make alterations to the ballot window.

Entitled or what. Hope something doesn’t happen to you on the way to the match. That would be so unfortunate.
