Disappointed with current lack of flags , scarfs out of house & car windows. Will do my bit today/tomorrow. I'm blaming the lack of said merch' display on alcoholic poisoning since Blackburn.

Nope, either name is valid.Today of all days, St George's Day, ffs it's the Union flag not the Union Jack.
And, of course, the Union Jack is the flag of the United Kingdom, of which Saint George is not the patron saint. So whether it was St George's Day or not was neither here nor there.
