Not sure he was Pete. Think he just misjudged it back peddling. Not a biggy either way though.
I saw it as well!

Promotion song I now feel confident enough to post. To the tune Living next door to Alice.

25 years just waiting for the chance
to finally get promoted
Thanks to Doug and Frank
Now we've gotta get use to not playing
Brum and Leicester
Leicester, Leicester who the fk are Leicester

Hope we don't go up

wyken on the naze
I don't like this.

Would you dare to post something similar poking fun at the other two great Abrahamic religions, I wonder?
Only if I can link it to football and Monty Python

It’s incredible to think that, having thrown away the big lead we had at the end of November, we’ve virtually got it back again.

Just seen Lampards post match interview, think that's the most animated and enthused I've seen him. He knows, we're neatly there....
I listened to it just now and even without pictures you can tell he knows it's gonna happen

Magnificent achievement for him as an individual too.

no one will ever be able to take this away from him or us

Yep, today has me believing. So professional game won in 45 and coasted.

We'd have to spectacularly mess this up, not happening at this point. Really want to win the league now, open top bus parade in the sun would be a dream
It’s been this way for a fair few games now. Ipswich and Boro just have not strung together a sequence of results to really challenge us.

We’re not realistically going to lose 3 games of the remaining 7 and in any case, we’re just better than Ipswich, Boro and Millwall whichever way you look at it.

Have you ever noticed that everytime we score they all get in a huddle to celebrate except for Matty Grimes who gets in the huddle and yells instructions at them? #CapitaincyShit #CaptainHardass :ROFLMAO:
He handled the occasion superbly, basically didn’t put a foot wrong. 100% captain material

Favourite player. Low key, keeps calm, does his job and maintains high standards (himself and others). Had a bit of a dip after illness and being left exposed by set up but his consistency over the season has been amazing really. Him and Rushworth are comfortably top two players of the season for me

I don't rate Asante at all. TBF to the guy he stepped up and hit it hard. Not a great penalty but it went in and he stepped up . I love him for that .
The 👀. gave it away on where he was going to send it that's a no no normally but today wasn't normal all I know is he's banged them in earlier in the season and that means a lot.

I don't know how you can't rate him to be honest .
For me he was ,arguably, our best outfield player till he got injured . He was a huge part of how we started the season with high energy and a high press , as well as scoring many vital goals .
He hasn't come back in the same form since injury but he has the same intensity and work ethic that gets us up the pitch and playing at the tempo we need to

What a bloody day - Long trip there and back but worthwhile, you got the feeling when the final whistle blew in the early kick offs that the day was going to be seismic if we turned up and the players sure did

Don’t think I’ve ever been happier for a Coventry City player to score a goal in my life than I was when Grimes scored yesterday, shame he never really celebrated after the reception he got, he’s a better man than me for doing so

It’s all but done as far as I am concerned, we surely can’t cock this up from here

Don’t disagree with much of this, and had it not been for his injury he’d have had a massive season IMHO.

However, to original posters thought, I don’t think he makes the step up to the Prem, and this was likely a bit of a one hit wonder season for him à la Akpom, Szmodicz, etc

It’s tough because actually really like the guy and when he’s on top of his game he’s mint - I hope I’m proven wrong.

But I don’t think he is with us next year, especially if we get a good offer from the Champ for him.

I thought Simms led the line very well, he's come on a bundle
Really? I thought he'd been transported back to last season! Rarely won a header and contributed just about nothing to the play, his movement was nonexistent. He was so bad that we were playing with 10 men most of the time. We really need a lot, lot more from him and thankfully we got goals from elsewhere.

Fortunately that is nonsense
