any chat about whether we go back for Eric Martel in the summer? 6'2" with 150 apps across the Austrian and German Bundesliga by age 23 feels like the kinda player you'd hope we'd grab a few of and augment with some PL experience if we can. Don't know if that's a statement signing but could be smart.

There will have to be at least two old heads as such with plenty of premier league experience , staying up will be adding value .

He's been playing in Europe this season and has vast experience in the league. His wage is £60k a week currently. Likely he would take less if joining here. Is that huge? I suppose you can suggest a similarly experienced player for cheaper?

Think Barkley is a decent suggestion tbf. Good experience, wouldn't take too much out of the transfer budget you wouldn't have thought.

He played under Lampard at Chelsea as well albeit wasn't really in favour it seems

I like the Barkley suggestion but the only issue for me would be his injury history. He's pretty susceptible to breaking down.

Looking at the last two seasons alone he's been out for a fair number of games.

Can you cover the Luton period as well please. Would he take less? Why? How do you know? I’m not a scout, so no.
