Do you think this interview was a makeweight for getting the BBC to change the match day line up to spare Frank and the players? 😂

I wonder if Doug has a long memory

The way he was treated by Lorna Bailey and Rob Gurney (and some fans) at the fans forum (after sacking Robins) was cringeworthy and embarrassing
Hilarious if that's why hes agreed to it, to completely own her arse. I like the idea of Doug being as petty as the people on here.

He won my respect that night big time

Mine too. Even though I thought it was the wrong decision, he completely owned it.

Like I’ve said before, the really easy option for him was to wait for the fans to turn on Robins

And in doing so poison so much of the goodwill MR still has now.

There’d be no discussions of statues if he’d stayed until the end of the season and taken us down, or even limped to a 21st place finish. In many ways Doug has secured both the club through spectacular on field improvements, and the legacy of the guy who got us almost all the way there from absolutely nowhere.

Not done yet,
Of course premier package will be honoured
Other season tickets will be extortionate to compensate (then laughed and said no, no just kidding)
Won't be a full squad change but will definitely be looking to stay up.
Our recruitment has form for good deals for us and will do it "the Coventry way"
Rushworth... We were the ones that tried to buy him before (never been confirmed until now) .... But never fall in love with a loan player... And hopefully he'll do great for the next 9 games. Wouldn't confirm anything beyond that

Sounds like Rushworth is a no go then!

Sounded more like "no comment"
Did make the point that Rushworth excelling this year has been a two party situation and we've helped with that development and Brighton should be happy with what we've done and what he's done.
But it didn't sound like "it's the first phone call I'll be making'
But also ....
..it's Doug

Hadn't he had a couple of loans before? If I was a player I'd be cautious about loans and would keep my options open where I could. The loan is great for playing time etc but you don't quite know where you're going do you?. A team in the mire, financial difficulties, horrible ground, on the managerial merry go round, poor culture etc. He'll have found the opposite here. Looks like he loves it and he could be a premier league starter with us - he might feel differently now.... she says desperately :)

We take each game as it comes and everyone else can dream.

We’re on a great run the players are professional and have a seriousness to get the job done. I’m liking the feel and Lampard has the experience at the top level in terms of being a winner. Frank is calm and focused.

Squad depth increased in Jan and there’s competition.

CBS is an incredible venue and we want to drive revenue through music and live events.

Buying the stadium is worth it. It’s our home. It’s a home for football and a business on event side. We’re going at warp speed for the venue to maximise it.

Been a great few years. FA Cup runs, play offs. We’re on the cusp on something great.

Football is a really difficult business. Operating losses for clubs, how to balance the books in the chase to Prem.

We had our episode when Mark left and fans got emotional. Everyone has a right to have an opinion.

Coventry can establish itself at the top level with the fan base and size of the city. I’m excited. Live the moment. Enjoy the next couple of months.

Premier league season ticket offer will be honoured to those brave ones who went for them.

For others season ticket prices will come out on May once we know which league we’re in.

Sunderland changed their first 11 when they got up which is radical and extreme. Burnley model of up and down doesn’t quite work. We’re going to do it the Cov way. It’s about trying to stay there first. Dean Austin and the department have been great in how we have recruited and developed players. We have established a high quality squad. Have full confidence in the wider team to continue that.

We’ve got Rushworth on loan and I know Tony Bloom personally. This season we needed a high quality keeper once we lost Dovin. He’s grown into a fantastic player for us. We have given Rushworth a platform. Hope he does well for the next 9 games…

Boro game after Oxford was such a turning point. CBS looked great on TV with the smoke, lights etc.

I’m proud I’ve got the club and stadium today. We’re having a season which merits success. We have for great history and be proud of the football club.

If we go up there will be a party. I like a party.

Football is not cheap. I’ve been in business a long time. I’ve got 100% of the club and wanted to move fast to get to where we do. We will cross the bridge if we need extra investment based on what we need going forward.

Messsge to fans just enjoy it. Don’t worry about what others are doing. Make the CBS hostile for the opposition over the next 5 home games.

I’m calm.

Unfortunately it's not up to him for one or two years

Most Prem teams stick with a keeper for as long as they can if they happen upon a decent one. The main issue we have is that it sounds like Brightons number 1 will be off in the summer. Hoping they decide to go for Trafford or something.
